I'm so happy when Pleks gets the recognition he deserves.
That ******* point though.
I cannot see us not winning in regulation against the Isles. So depressing.
Dunno if you guys read the articles on HIO about both Cunneyworth and the players, as well as Burke saying there's no way they will tank even though they are aware of the draft situation. I believe RC and the Habs players. Not Burke so much.
Where is the horrible luck we've had all season?
Also, I cannot believe Ottawa is going to have the division lead. They are pathetic and haven't impressed me at all. Eller must have messed up Karlsson's head, cuz he sucked tonight.
PS. Campoli is our MVP (for the tank). We should be lauding his work.
Ottawa plays some of their worst games against Montreal. I don't know why... These games aren't a true indication of the team.
Also, Erik had 2 assists and +2 with 30 mins of ice-time. I wonder what your definition of "good" is then...
Dude needs to be scratched at this point. This morning he was talking like a scared *****, saying that he knows Shanahan is watching him after the Backstrom hit and what not. I also still think he wants no part of being here, dude signed a 6 year deal with Calgary, a team in his home province, and he gets moved shortly into it to a team out of the race.
We need to fire our pro scouts. How many more ****ing atrocious pickups can we make time and time again. Gauthier deserves blame for sure, but the pro scouts are his eyes and they keep recommending some of these awful players.
Exactly.
Almost makes me wish that management would consult with...Pierre Macguire, about the potential of different NHL players and what they have to give a team

Despite the stats you brought up I wasn't all that impressed with Karlsson's overall play tonight either TBH.. He certainly didn't run the Sens PP very well tonight that's for sure.. I also imagine he had probably 12-13 minutes of PP time in his 30 minutes of ice time tonight. Sometimes stats don't tell the whole story IMO.
There are worse teams but we can already see that trading AKost hurt their depth. Plekanec is the only one on his line who can put up points. The Habs may get into a lot of low scoring games because of their goaltending and penalty killing but they'll lose most of them because of their lack of scoring. It wouldn't be a bad idea to draft a wing who can score even ahead of a center if that wing is the BPA. it doesn't look as though they can find a sniper in the free agent market and they'd have to give up too much in a trade for Rick Nash, Radulov, or Semin.

Uh no. He had one assist - on the winning goal. The one where Alfie walked around AHL player St. Denis. What a tragic-comedy performance that was from St. Denis & Weber. It's not like Karlsson had much to do on that play.
I find him defensively reckless actually but he's such a good skate he can recover quickly, and get back into position.
Moen is.....hurt. Somehow if he gets better, he sticks around. But we need to be sure we are not signing a guy who might have more problems that he already has.

Well, that's what we get for playing the entire game in our end.
Worrisome we are able to generate nothing on o beyond that 1st line..nothing. Maybe Eller and Palushaj and Leblanc, but both those wingers need more time & confidence in the minors imo.
That;s what happens when you have two veteren allstar quality puck moving D in the pressbox (Markov & Kaberle). The only guy who can move the puck well is Subban, and for all the great stuff he does, gotta remember he is still young.
Ironically it was the Sens who had this problem for years between the Redden fiasco and then picking up Gonchar & Karlsson emergence, they were just brutal at clearing their zone and constantly penned in there.
A lesson on the importance of smart passing D men.
