He was checked cleanly by Vitale, shoulder to shoulder, he went into the boards but hurt his left shoulder which was the one that Vitale hit. Did not look too bad, I don't think he broke his collarbone as others have suggested and he was supposedly at the Rangers practice facility getting it wrapped which could be a separation or it could just be sore. If it was a broken collarbone he would be home today or depending on how bad of a break at the hospital for surgery unless they just did X-rays and were re-wrapping it.
i don't exactly see a problem with dropping to the 4 seed, but anything lower and i'll be a little nervous. i'm not worried about going through new jersey or philly in the 1st round. if resting some players means giving the division to pittsburgh, i think i'm in favor of it.
When we have to face Pittsburgh on their home ice in the ECF, then you would have a problem with it. All routes to the cup have us going through Pittsburgh. Clinching the division/conference is key.
if they call up Newbury or Deveaux over Wellman im gonna be pissed.. the last thing the Rangers need is a no skilled goon
guys on pack or college or junior season after it ends that should be called up: one of Wellman, JT Miller, Kreider (if signed right after school) or Thuresson
quick question....since JT Miller is already signed but got sent back to juniors anyway, after his junior year, can he play on the Rangers if they have more injuries?? much rather have him over a guy like Newbury who has no future with the Rangers..

This. The only shot we have to beat that team in a playoff series is home ice. Not to mention the decidedly easier teams we'd face in earlier round(s).
I like Artem the gunslinger. I even had him on my fantasy team at one point. It was a clean hit, but sometimes **** happens. Hope it is only a sprain and he didn't dislocate it completely. Hope he is good to go for the playoffs.
Knowing this team's management, they'll play Scott on the fourth line and bump MZA or Mitchell up.
Scott is not all that useful, painfully slow too. Christensen was more useful than Scott. At least EC could score in the shoot out and was a threat to score when he wanted to show up. Scott doesn't play against any major opponents, which means he will be riding the pine hard core in the playoffs.
I wouldn't have a problem with Deveaux getting called up. I think he still has to serve his suspension. Other than one stupid play, he was good when he was here.
Newbury is more useless than a white crayon. Same with Scott.

Who would not look tired playing so many games in March?
So what facet of the game do you propose that they let up on, early in the year? Block less shots? Not compete as hard on forecheck? Float instead of backchecking?
I don't know..
I'm not trying to say not try hard.. it just seems like we go balls to the wall from October.. while other teams just try to hit their stride late.
The way we play, it was said all year by some that we might ware down.. and it looks like we are

Pittsburgh just beat us for the 2nd time in 3 games games at MSG. Both times convincingly. We face them anywhere and we're screwed.

Snowblind, we're 2-3 against them on the year. CHILL. We were missing our captain, our starting goalie, our best offensive defenseman who has been great on the backend as well, and we lost a top six forward mid-game. Plus, they were playing for the first time in a long time with crosby and letang, so there was probably some extra juice in their game. Last time was hardly the most predictive game going forwards...
Any news on Artem? Hope itīs not to serious because I donīt know who could replace him. Nobody, except Wellman, comes in mind for being called up. But I donīt know how he played since heīs being in Hartford.
if being worn down at this time of the year meant a definite playoff spot and possible first place finish, everyone would sign up....this team doesn't have the offense not to play they have to....ppl need to be patient the offense will come #doittherightway

Pittsburgh has been decimated by injuries all year. No excuses.
