Uh no. He had one assist - on the winning goal. The one where Alfie walked around AHL player St. Denis. What a tragic-comedy performance that was from St. Denis & Weber. It's not like Karlsson had much to do on that play.
I find him defensively reckless actually but he's such a good skate he can recover quickly, and get back into position.
Honestly Bourque looks like he has never played the game before, he is always out of position and has zero ability to read or anticipate. Staubitz is better at seeing plays develop.
The frustrating thing about bourque is that he has shown flashes throughout his career of being a physical guy, who is hard to play against. This goes back to his time in Chicago as well.
His first couple of games in montreal also showed what he can bring when he is motivated. Hrudey was bang on when he called him out a few months ago. He's 30 years old now so I dont expect him to change.
Not as funny as the people who think our problem on D this season was that we needed a first pairing/number 1 D when the problem clearly was the lack of a second pairing.
Indeed. People forget how badly we needed a solid second pairing guy to solidify our d-corps a few years back, and how Hamrlik's play helped restore a bit of respectability to our defensive situation. I want Barret Jackman this off-season.
