Says Rinne is in not Lindback. Thank goodness. Hopefully this doesn't mean Lindback is in Sunday's game against the Ducks then. If that's the case, the Preds better win tonight's game and hope to get one point out of the Ducks game instead Better yet the Preds should just win both games to save all the troubles/confusion
Nice! I like Linders, but I was getting my info from dailyfaceoff earlier today.

I disagree. The team plays a completely different game with Lindback in net, and it isn't a good game. Again, I like Lindback and think he will be an excellent netminder, but this season has not been a good one for him

The Preds have lost 2 games and won one game against the LA Kings vs having won all their games against the Ducks. So if we have to have Lindback in one of these two games, I would take my chances of Lindback w/ the Ducks and Rinne w/ LA who seems like a harder team for the Preds to win against.

Play the better goalie against the better team. Makes sense to me.

In the past, Trotz would sometimes take the opposite approach, and we would all get upset for him not having a "go for it" mentality.

another 9:30 game... i'm still not sure who was against the proposed re-alignment/schedule. Even with the current system, you would think the NHL would make sure at the very least that west coast games on Sat/Sun started no later than 5 pacific.

Now hopefully deciding to have Rinne in tonight and Lindback tomorrow (assuming Lindback will be in tomorrow) doesn't come to bite us in the butt and the Preds end up losing both games. That would suck. That's the one gamble I see by having this lineup but its a risk I'm willing to take. Guess we will see how this gamble turns out.

Speaking of the scheduling, we play tonight at 7:30 local time, then go over to Anaheim for a 5:00 game tomorrow. Never seen two games this close to one another.

Kings won a hard-fought game versus the Ducks last night, so might be ripe for a letdown tonight. Still, have a bad feeling we drop this one.

I've gotta see about getting tickets for tomorrow. I'd try tonight, but just don't enjoy going over to Staples Center much anymore.

Good luck tonight. Preds are my 2nd favorite west team so should be a fun game. Not excited we have to face Rinne, who I see as the 2nd best goalie in the NHL behind Hank. Not sure who's in the cage for us tonight. It really should be Bernier since he plays wells vs you guys and Quick played last night but Quick barely faced any shots and Sutter is probably one of the WORST coaches in the NHL at utilizing two goalies (look at how many games Kippr played per year in Calgary). Besides that, should be the same lineup as usual.

Brown-Kopi-Williams
King-Richards-Carter
Fat Lazy pancake face -Guy who is only good at faceoffs and taking dumb penalties-Lewis
Clifford-Fraser-Nolan

Doughty-Scuderi
Mitchell-Voinov
Martinez-Greene

And then a goalie.

I am glad its Rinne tonite... he does better on one day rest than two....

I won't be a bit surprised to see Rinne again tomorrow... Trotz has been know to ride his starters hard in the stretch run...

Hopefully that is the case cause our next game after these two is on Tues so that will give Rinne one day of rest if he plays both games vs two days rest if he just plays today.

I guess Weber will not get Norris this year.

That kid Karllsson is something.

If Weber got $7.5M

What he should get? $10M???

I highly doubt Karlsson gets the Norris. It seems like more of an achievement award than anything else. He is a damn good player, though, and his 71 points are impressive. He'll get a nod this year, and if he keeps it up he'll have his Norris next year or the year after.

Do you think Weber deserves one this year???

I think his game after ASG been B-
and nothing really to show on The score board. Suter caught up with him point and +/- wise.

I'm not really sure who deserves one this year to be honest. I think Weber can make an argument. Suter can, too. Lidstrom will always be in the conversation (unless he stays hurt), as will Chara. Pietrangelo is making a solid case.

It just seems to me that they look at a player's career rather than season when voting for Norris.

I expected from Weber 50+ point and around 20 goals after last year. Disappointed.

I know normally people say pure offensive defensemen don't win Norris's, but I think Karlsson is making a special case for himself. If he can break 80 points I think it is his, unless Weber does amazing things down the stretch. Agree that his play after the all star break is hurting him.

Karlsson is actually a pretty decent two-way defenseman with a HUGE offensive upside. The kid is going to be in the conversation of "best defenseman" for a long time I think. I still don't think he wins it this year, though.

Funny that we're talking about Karlsson. He scored on his own net tonight
