Basically played three lines in back to back game situation. Man, the forward depth they used to have is obliterated by trades and injuries.

Come Tuesday at 10 PM:

Either the Islanders will be 2 points ahead.

OR

The Maple Leafs will be 5 points ahead.

Hopefully it goes to OT though.

Edit: Forgot Toronto plays Monday too. So it could be more than 5.

That 4th line created a goal tonight. They were part of a goal on Tuesday.

RC is not playing them more than 3 minute a game, but they've shown they can play.

It just needs to stop and some regulation losses to happen starting next game.. The Habs have had 4 straight OT games and have gotten 9 out of 12 points in their last 6 games.

That's kind of depressing. Tanker's worst nightmare really... coup de gras.

DD's line struggled for a 2nd game in a row.
That was probably DD's worst game of the last 3 months and I'm pretty sure he's playing injured right now (or maybe he's just really tired). Still scored a nice SO goal.

Pleks line was ok.
4th line did its job.
LL and Subban had a good game.

I miss Streit. Another strong game for Mark against us.

Markov is slowly but surely getting better and he's still amazing on the PP. But wth was this SO attempt Andrei ?

You know what's crazy.

We've gotten outshot 204-164 during that streak.

When we began the year with only one win in eight games we outshot the opposition 271-213.

Pretty bad time for our bad luck to turn around.

Yup.. If the Habs were in a playoff race it would be great.. Doing it now though after being out of it is just adding to the frustration of this entire season..

Anyone else agree that Subban is the best skating defenceman in the league or at least up there. Hes so fluid when he skates with the puck

Who, Bourque ? He played a much better game tonight. The 2 on 1 would have been in the back of the net had he had some confidence in himself.

Hopefully he continues this trend.

It's good to have Blunden back. I believe he should be rewarded.

Ya "20ish games" is like a lifetime, lets get rid of him because after "20ish games" on a new team he should practically be the captain.

Subban should really be given the "green light" for the remainder of the season to carry the puck for as long and as far as he wants to. He'll get burned a lot. So what. He'll have a far better idea of when to use this skill and how to approach these rushes.

The play culminating with that assist on the Leblanc goal is something very few defensemen can pull off in today's NHL. It's too bad that the management is worrying about their own resumes (can't blame them) and that the team isn't trying all sorts of experiments for the rest of this year.

I'm not pissed. Every game in which Markov's knee doesn't blow up is a good night for us ! A loss in regulation is a GREAT night

Bourque is really playing awful hockey. I wish RC wouldn't have given him the opportunity for a free-bee GWG : work a little during the game and earn a goal for a change.
Don't know enough about Holland to completely trash the trade, but he really is an awful asset to have acquired

If Markov is really back to is old self, our top4 should be nice next season with improved PK and Emelin plus human-puck-vacuum-Gorges

Until then, tank baby, tank !

edit : been wanting to try one of those : best I can do is #takeadipforFilip excusez-là

Still no regulation loss with Markov in the lineup this season. Pretty telling stat heading into next season.

In other news, RC continues to be a moron.

Palushaj scores, barely plays after that. Let's play Mike Blunden nearly 7 more minutes though.

Leblanc scores, doesn't use him in a long shootout.

The Eller shifting between wing and center thing is just retarded.

And once again he completely overworks our top guns in order to grind out points so he can better his resume. Forwards getting Kovalchuk-like ice time. Subban playing 28 minutes, no d-man in the NHL this year has averaged that much. Subban has done it in 3 straight games.

The day RC gets fired will be a happy day.
I'm struggling to find logic in this post. You act as if simply scoring a goal merits unlimited ice time. Palushaj scored while playing on the fourth line, and he stayed there. Just because he scored it doesn't mean he deserves more ice time.

Even worse is that you think just because Leblanc happened to score during the game, it is insanity that he didn't get a shot in the shootout... what?

Also, Eller hasn't shown that he deserves a consistent role on this team lately at all. Then again, the fact that you are rooting for your favorite team to LOSE as much as possible kind of illustrates why your statements are so damn illogical. Because that's absolutely ridiculous.

I'm not sure about Bourque. He has the skills and good past scoring stats.

I don't see an attitude issue, I believe it's more of an actual head case.

A good MD and sports psychologist maybe he can be turned around.
