The last few seasons have been pretty solid. There hasn't been a sub-par or average episode to complain about in a long time. I mean, they could do a lot worse...look at Lice Capades.
Cartman starts his own gem shopping channel on an all-new episode of "South Park" titled, "Cash For Gold," premiering Wednesday, March 21 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central.
Cartman launches a gemstones network show and creates a very lucrative business. Stan searches for the real value of a piece of jewelry that was a gift from his Grandpa. Meanwhile, Cartman's lucrative new business preys upon an extremely vunerable clientele.
I'm amazed how little hype or buzz there has been about this new season. It's almost like it never happened. Half the people I know don't even realize it's started up again.
Too good. Cartman was on fire and the ending was so, so funny. Two good episodes in a row. Hopefully the show can bring it on a regular basis like it used to.
Especially when Cartman went and tried to **** over the Asian ladies in the store. One of the emeralds in the store was this giant piece of ****.
Which was called Teodora. The owner supposedly got in Brazil (No paper trail exists), had it cut in India, billed it as the largest cut Emerald in the world and then took it to Kelowna of all places to sell it at auction for approx. $1 million.
Turns out it was a White-Beryl Emerald (Worthless) and the owner was arrested shortly after for fraud in Ontario. lawlz.
I thought it wasn't as good as last week's episode, but there were some moments, like that entire distribution chain and the end. However, I had set the DVR but forgot it was actually on. I need to remind myself that this is the new season because I agree the buzz about it has been a little on the light side.
Much better than last week's episode, if only for the catchy tune during the distribution chain at the end. And it didn't have the "Family Guy" moment, where it focuses far too long on a joke that wasn't funny from the start (ie: The guy running the cameras).

It's been around so long that it's easy to take for granted, only the diehards are excited now. I know a lot of people who like the show but just don't care that there are new episodes any more. I know I went through that with seasons 6-9 or so...

...IMO this episode's weakness was it's use of jokes that were far too long. That's all this episode was...
