In order to appease Mr Glass and other Winnipegger's sensitivity to vulgar chants in the MTS centre - at the next game against the Canes the following words should be instead chanted in loud unison: "please don't be offended Mr Staal but although you could be better than you have been performing of late we would rather you underperform tonight please thank you please"!

Yeah, the frustration he must be feeling would be tough. Hopefully it's not longterm and can come back next season 100%.

Man, that quote from Glass sounded like a throw away remark in a post game scrum that's been turned into a whole article. By the EVIL Toronto media no less, I refuse to participate in this, this is akin to the WSH fans getting worked into a lather after Fridays game (I am please to report my head feels better today after the pre-durring-post game festivities that day!).

Looking forward to seeing CAR come in on the back side of two in a row! And WSH starting b2b tonight too! Opportunity knocks but once my friends.

IMO this game will go a long way in showing the character of the team. They need to be able to avoid a natural let down after 2 big wins, and play another strong home game and sweep the homestand. Then they can go on the road and face some tough games with their head held high.

yea pedal to the medal here today. The thing I liked about our Washington game is despite the insane crowd reaction to the win i thought the players looked very business like.

To me it does seem like they get the fact that its about the next 11 games and that today although not a 4 point game vs the team you are chasing is still a must win game. We need to take care of our home games and this is one of the most winnable ones left and that is no disrespect to the Canes who have found their mojo......its more of the fact that the Canes are B2B without Skinner and coming off a win so this one sets up well for us if we bring our A game.

There is no room for us to let up.

Rad GDT! When I saw it I was like:

Do we know if Machacek will be back in time to be in the lineup?

Must win game. Cliched, yep but Jets cannot rely on Caps to lose. Win this game and pressure is on Caps to win at least one in CHI, DET or PHI before we play them again.

I expect to see a workman-like effort to establish a good template for our own road trip.

Go Jets Go.

I'm really excited to see how Machacek does on the new "M-S-G" line. It could definitely be a showing of things to come, perhaps even as soon as next year out of camp.

It's too bad that he may be tired from playing yesterday, but the kids a soldier, so it shouldn't really effect him.

What I'd love to see is him score his first NHL goal. I think he's earned it so far.

I don't think he played yesterday - he doesn't show up in the lineup in the event recap for that game against the Monarchs:

Indeed, he was a scratch in that game.

I think we should make a new chant for Clitsome, I used it last game, just cause he was hitting Ovechkin all the time, Clit Clit Clit or even when he scores

That would be epic to hear 15,000 people chant that...but for all the wrong reasons. But so funny.
