I admit that my frustration level is much higher due to the way everything is happening...if they were just a mid-seed team all year i.e they stayed around the 4,5,6 seed area...then I'd probably be fine w that.

I think the fact that we've gotten teased the way we have...being in 1st for so long you begin to start to dream big even if your mind tells you it really cant happen. "Hey you know, maybe we ARE this good!". Then they come back to the pack, you see the flaws you felt were there all along...and reality gives you a big punch to the face. It would be a huge dissapointment to me to be in 1st for as long as we have been (including have a double digit point lead) and then end up losing it in the final 10 games.

I haven't written off this season by any means, but I'm not expecting us to run the table.
Parise would be a perfect fit. Not sure if he'd come here...but Sather has to go all in on him. If he was willing to take on Nash's cap hit, I have to figure he would throw a big offer at Parise. Adding Krieder will help too.

5-3-3. The last 2 games might matter, but my guess is that Pitt will cool off and we'll have enough ground ahead of them that it doesn't make a difference. We'll win the east with 108 points.
With the exception of Montreal, Minnesota and Toronto, most of those teams will be fighting for playoff positioning/spots. I would really hope we don't need OT to beat Minnesota.

They played like they need to last night. I believe they will win the east then win round one in 5 , round two in 7 then get beat out. Great yr and close to a cup team

Agreed ,and this is exactly the way I feel, TEASED.

However, if our goaltending plays the way it did the first 55 games of the season, we finish first in the east. Hank makes up for the lack of evident top notch offensive talent, he is the equalizier.

Drop to 4 or 5 and beat Philly in 7. Bryz may well get Philly home ice, but even in past years with Phoenix he's been weak in the playoffs & Rangers have good handle on Philly. Depending on how many injuries are accrued & who NYR plays, they'll have a shot at winning the 2nd round as well.

No chance in hell Florida makes it to the 2nd round unless something real crazy happens at the bottom of the conference.

If Flyers are healthy and when I say healthy I mean everyone is in the lineup without Pronger. NYR in 5 definitely not going to happen. I do not give a **** what your regular season record says.

LOL? Do you realize the guy you quoted said YOU would beat US in 5 games? I guess they don't teach you how to read in Philadelphia. Go back to your board monkey man.

LMAO.

You might not care what the regular season record says but we're the better team.

NYR in 5 or 6, easily.

If Flyers are healthy you won't be playing two rookies on D or 7 rookies plus Shelley. Line up will be a lot different. So it won't be like you said easily. This is not because we beat Pens today.

This is irrelevant Maybe they should learn to do their stretches and stay healthy

Like NY learned it last year? Flyers are getting healthy.

JVR, Kubina, Meszaros will probably join team for playoffs.

Our major problems were: our new goalie, jelling time because we changed major parts of our team and big injuries.

Oh, so Bryz having a good 4 or 5 or 6 games means everything's good now, eh.. All those good players thrown out for a goalie

It's once thing to argue and proving me wrong. Another thing is to run your mouth for the hell of it.Flyers did not trade Carter and Richards for Bryzgalov. TheyHomer traded both because he did not think we could winwith both. GM decision. We'll see how it'll play out

Flyers received Simmonds, Couturier, Schenn, Voracek and Grossmann for Carter and M.Richards.

Bryzgalov has been good since All Star break. A little longer 4-5 games

He hasn't been that good. Ill give you guys some good offense and a little above average D without Pronger. But Richards and Carter were pretty stellar, dunno why you'd can that. Either way, for the time being we are superior and anything said otherwise is again, irrelevant.

Edit: I don't think Grossman came from the Carter and Richards trade..
