It might seem a little far fetched but, 7 points isn't a whole lot of ground to make up. So what do you guys think? Central Division Champs sound good to you?
It is certainly possible, but I don't see it happening. The Preds have the ability to win a lot of games down the stretch for sure, but I don't see the Blues falling off that badly

On a more serious note, yeah it's definitely possible. Not probable, but certainly possible. We just lost Andy McDonald(our top offensive foward)to a shoulder injury, and have lost our last 2 games in a row, and have been playing rather sloppy for about the last 5. We're also 2 games ahead of you guys so if you win the next few you're really only 4 points behind us. Anyways good luck the rest of the season, and look forward to hopefully not seeing Rinne stonewall us in the playoffs.

its less than likely.. slim chance.. STL would really have to choke. if we could win about 9 of the next 10, it would be down to the wire. thats alot too ask. we got to go through them all anyways.. I'm more worried about getting home ice against DET (crucial) .. if the boys are focused this last stretch I think we finish ahead of them.
It'd take a team-wide, 100%, laser-focused commitment to the goal of winning the division akin to the focus they've needed at the end of past seasons just to make the playoffs (see: Weber's beard last year). I think this year they are content to work for the 4 spot.
No, especially not the way we've been playing lately. I think the top 6 in the West are set. Which is unfortunate because Detroit should be healthy just in time for the playoffs and will be a dangerous team.

8 points behind, 2 games in hand. If we win the two in hand, we're 4 behind with 10 games to play (I know scheduling doesn't work out exactly like that...but). We have one game left against them...which if we won outright would mean we are down 2 with 9 games left...but with tie breakers, we would need +3 points in 9 games to overtake. Hypothetically, if we went 6-3-0 and they went 4-4-1 in those 9, and we would overtake. With that example, we would have to go 9-3-0 and the Blues would have to go 4-5-1 in the total remaining games.
It's certainly possible...but the truth is that we don't control our own destiny, and we need to be red hot while we need them to cool down.
