WTF was your team doing playing riverboat hockey in the final 5 minutes?
Especially in the last 2-3 minutes you need to play conservative and make sure you at least get the 1 point but it looked like two teams trading chances and that made alot more sense from the Canes perspective then the Jets. I even told my father with 4 minutes left that the Jets were playing too loose and it could cost them.
Brutal ending and most likely cost your team any shot at the playoffs.
Difficult game to lose, will be tough for them to recover from this.
That said, from a different perspective, last year at this time we didn't have an NHL team to fret over. This game is just one of hundreds of Jets games to come.

What happened to our face offs and defense in the 3rd? Now we have to go on the road and we all know what happens when the Jets play on the road. My play-off hopes took a hit tonight.
same thing as last game, blocked shots, clog up the slot and break up plays with good sticks, the fact is that the Canes played better than the Caps. I didn't think we played well at all against the Caps and it carried over into this game.
And enough with the .................BETTER chants, it was clever the first time but that's enough.
Blaming our fantastic fans is beyond ****ing ridiculous.
Oh, I see. So the only influence the fans can have on the game is a positive one for the Jets? That is insane.
I have my opinion and you have yours. Having played hockey I know that some players use stuff like this as motivation and OBVIOUSLY Staal is one of them. How could you not see it?

x2 it was a stupid chant that did nothing but fire up Staal.

The Jets lost the game, bud.
Do you even go to games? It's a fantastic atmosphere all the way through, and a huge part of that is the heckling. You always keep on bringing up that the fans need to tone it down because you're scared that it will pump the team up. What kind of a chicken attitude is that? Fans are having fun, the atmosphere is awesome, etc. etc.
The Jets lots that game. If that puck doesn't bounce around to Larose you wouldn't even be badmouthing the fans right now.
Poor game, really poor 3rd period. The youth on this team really showed tonight they did not play well when the pressure was on. Oh well still happy with where the team is development wise.
