Welp, just have to rebound and go 7-3 to have a shot, which is not unreasonable. 90 pts, and get some help with the tie-breaker stats in the end.

Going to avoid posting here for a few days, these tough losses make me mad and I direct some anger towards guys here.

Just remember though the fans in the seats are responsible for the team being here as much as True North is. They taunt and cheer, and pay high prices to do so. They deserve their fun and it makes the atmosphere in the MTS Centre unique. Can't pin anything on them. You have to pin these games on the team and coaches. Can't trash the fans, man. They're not the ones who aren't doing their job on these bad nights.

If you think the chants can make a player worse they certainly can make the player better. Not saying the fans lost us the game (the Jets obviously had a horrid 3rd period), but they definitely didn't help matters... Agree with another poster that said it was border line embarrassing. If these 'better' chance keep up we're going to be the laughing stock of the league.

Sick of hearing people questioning if the posters who question the constant taunting of the opposition have ever even been to a game. Just because we don't agree with a bunch of drunken rowdy fans doesn't mean we haven't been to a game or are less of a fan. Get over it.

Jets will have the 7th or 8th number 1 pick!

The comment Glass made has caused turmoil with both the fans and the team.

The GST line can become the MST line next year with MACHACEK or the CST line with Cormier.

Pavs not sharp as he has been.

Antro played like a man possessed until his injury.

Wellwood, Little Timmy and Burmi invisible in the game.

Why was Jones playing instead of Clitsome?

Jets PP starting to stink and the coaching staff seems to have no clue on how to fix it.

Ladd was horrible tonight. Worst game he has played in a loooooong time. How many flippen times can a player turn the puck over in our own end. Too ****ing many. I was so pissed at him I drove over his bobble head after the game!

Well said.

Emotions are always high and heated after a loss this critical, I regret posting that video of funkybunny as he said some pretty brutal things and although we just laugh it off it still is very arrogant and short sighted so I do apologize for that and anything else that was out of line tonight.

At the end of the day we all want the same thing, so let's hope the team can recover and find a way to sneak in.

Ladd was both gutless and dumb in the game, how can a guy wearing the C be so careless with the puck on so many occasions.

Really pissed to see how lacklustre the Jets were and how hard a team like Carolina plays, of course we have seen the Jets outworked and out hustled by a lot of teams lower in the standings all season long. Jets are short on players with character at the forward position aside from Wheeler, Slater, Thorburn and Antro and Kane on occasion.

Just as much blame for the loss can be placed on the Jets coaching staff as the players in this one, Ladd the most minutes of any forward when he truly played like crap, dressing Jones instead of the more physical Clitsome, taking Wheeler off the number one line for a period in the game, not taking a time-out when the Jets got a 3-2 lead to implement defensive strategy....

Huh, where did I say it makes him worse? And even if that is the case, I'll take the numerous successful bad games from stars and deal with the odd one or two good games.

It's just hilarious the STAR of an opposing team has a good game and people come here whining about the chants. Hilarious. That's just disgruntled fans trying to blame anyone and everyone for the loss. It's actually childish.

exactly, Slater couldnt seem to win a draw to save his life, and for some reason the puck just wouldnt bounce into the net- we had chances and IMO out played them.

who cares about the crowd chants, it is what it is, all we need to worry about is Pittsburgh right now- thats it.

oh and washington please lose: Ovechkin- Crosby's better.

Was at the game... and I knew within the first couple minutes of the 3rd we'd be lucky to win, we just came out flat.

Ladd played awful... 2 turnovers that lead to 2 goals... hopefully he can turn it around soon. I don't mean to just pick on him though, the entire team was horrible for most of the game.

The crowd really disappointed me tonight. Maybe it was just my section... but people seemed more interested in going on beer runs every 10 min then actually watching the game. I've been to most games this year and it was a lot more evident than usual. As for the chants... I'm not a fan of them when we do them every game. I'd much rather us have spent our energy chanting "go jets go" than heckling an opposing player.

Tuesday is a big game against a great team... It's a definite must win, hopefully we can pull it out!

Blah

We needed to win that one last night badly, to take advantage of the Caps loss.

I hope this wasn't the final nail in our playoff coffins.

Panthers fan here, I come in peace. Just wanted to give my 2 cents on the crowd debate.

For those thinking the crowd had a negative affect last night, you are probably right. For anyone who has played sports at a high level, you know the affect a big crowd can have. It works positively for both teams. A crazy crowd helps fire up the home team, but fires up the road team just as much. Regardless of what your chanting, they are going to want to shut you up. Especially a team that has nothing to play for and nothing to lose. there is no doubt that carolina fed off the crowd last night. Every opponent WPG plays at home feeds off your crowd, usually it's just not enough to beat an inspired jets team.

Concerning the negative chants, I think they are pointless in terms of distracting the other team, and only serve to fire up the target of the crowds scorn. If some chirping from the crowd is enough to get a player off of his game, then he is about as mentally strong as a 12 year old in his first competitive experience.

The chants are funny, and get the media's attention, but does it really do anything? The only person whose head you get into is the visiting teams fans that came out for the game. I'm sure many of them have ended up making a fool of themselves in your building after you guys have been ripping on his or her team ltht night.

In conclusion, good luck the rest of the way and I hope you guys can pull 8th place off

1. The Jordan's Better chants were weak because it wasn't everyone doing it. Eric Stall is an Amazing player that according too some of their local media is back to his old self something that we didn't see the first 2 games they were here. If you think a little chant was the catalyst too him becoming some kind of superstar well News Flash he already is!!

2. Jets aren't a complete team yet... Plain and simple Missing the playoffs in 9th or 10th is just the next step in their development. These painful losses are part of the growth process and there is no better way too learn then get burned like this. In the future when we are in that situation it will be different but for now this is who we are.

3. Machacek... Wont be wearing 46 next season pick a new number and find a place too live!!

We needed to be protecting our lead not leaving our defensive positions trying to score. Exactly why Buff and Enstrom were on for most of the goals against. As for clitsome playing over Jones? You've got to be kidding! Randy did exactly what he was suppose to do- prevent goals, plus having 4 hits. Let's look at it this way for a change. Maybe if they had played him more they might not have scored, he was playing well and doing his job, some of the other defencemen were not having a great game. Sometimes you have to go with who's playing better on any given night. Seems to me lately even the haters are commenting on Jones playing well.
He played the whole 2 minutes of the PK at the end of the game to help us protect our lead and win in the Washington game. Why wouldn't the coach play him in this game! He'd be stupid not to.

That's not quite an accurate portrayal. The Canes have played much better under Muller and for Jan, Feb, and March: Buffalo has a Loss and an OTW against Carolina, Toronto hasn't played Carolina, Washinton has 3 regulation losses and an OTL against Carolina, Tampa has 2 Losses and an OTW against Carolina and Florida has an OTW.

So since the start of 2012, of the 10 games those teams in the playoff race have played against Carolina, they have only 3 wins and all of them have been in OT so none of those teams have been beating Carolina for easy points.

I got to agree with the Pants fan. I think both teams can feed off the energy of a full house that's rockin' it all night long. Carolina has been playing very well of late. They shut out the Blues last week and had a come from behind win over the Wild Saturday. If the place had been as quiet as a church the outcome prolly would have been the same.

I thought they were saying Hartfords Better... chants shmants... what the crowd is doing is essentially inconsequential. It comes down to the boys on the ice.

Anyway, i still thought the game was very entertaining. Machaceks fight was awesome. Why he got 2 for roughing...??? Ah well, way it goes.
Awesome for Mittens, very happy for him.
All this means is the guaranteed loss in Pittsburgh now must become a win.
Do or die time.

I agree with this. The "Jordon's better" chants were pretty minor last night, mostly comming from a few pockets and wasn't sustained for very long. I doubt Eric needed this for motivation as he was the best player on the ice all night. What cost the Jets was poor play, espeacilly from their top line and top d pairing who were a combined - 12. Can't expect Antti and machacek to carry the load and win too many games. Last night's game seemed to suggest the Jets aren't ready yet.

That's likely it. There was what looked to be a plate of cookies on the table behind him in an earlier video, so perhaps he resorted to cookies and it just didn't do it for him.

For a guy who loves to hate on the team though, man was he angry. You'd think he would have been all smiles and "I told you so", "hahaha"... but no, he was visually pissed off.

I'm sure I could get a few good screenshots from this vid.

He was probably just upset that he hasn't won the Kinsmen Jackpot Bingo yet.

I wasn't even aware that they still televise bingo, but apparently they do.
