Will Radulov's return make Predators better or worse team..?

It has now reported that Alex Radulov will be back to Nashville and may play in the game against the Penguins on Thursday. My question is will his comeback make Nashville better, or is there too much risks in him (I mean attitude and so on)? Could he make Predators worse team than what it is now?

I have had convos with one of my friends about this. He thinks that in Radulov is too much risks to take him in the line-up at this point of season. Because Predators are great team and has good team attitude in locker room and etc. When adding guy just before playoffs to take someone's place "for free" could effect to team plays and could make the team worse than what it is.

I think that Radulov has that type of potential that he is "risk-worthy" player. You have to take a chance with a world class talent, even if it wouldn't work. Then just bench him and so on.

So, I would like to hear your opinions too.

My opinion is the same as yours. However, I do believe he'll make them a better team.

I'm wondering how guys like Legwand, Erat, Weber, etc. are going to treat him in the dressing room. They were there when he left and now he's coming back on less than reasonable terms (burning a year of his contract).

Don't think the Preds can lose by getting him.

They also may not gain, either. But regardless it makes the playoffs that much more difficult.

Only adds to competition between players. Not any different than adding a player at the trade deadline. It has to improve the Preds. I for one am very happy right now.

That's what I think too. I don't think he will make them worse, but they may stay the same. The Preds are built so that they don't need to rely on one player to score. If he can buy into the system and his game doesn't need adjusting, theymay have punched a ticket to the WCF. Nothing guaranteed though we will have to see. I think they get better.

Weber and Suter were apparently fans of Radulov's. The dressing-room issues mostly had to do with Arnott, IIRC.

Yep, and IF this can help convince Suter to stay, it's a HUGE win. This is a no lose situation.

I'm thinking most western conference teams need to change their unis to include brown pants. radulov will make a big difference

I'm doubting a guy who shows up just to play in the playoffs will make a huge impact to the team, regardless of his caliber.

I feel the same as this. I believe he will fit in just fine but am also curious how the players who went through the initial phase of this will react to his return.

As with any addition though, there will be a lul entil they can develop some chemistry together, and of course there will be threads after the first couple games proclaiming him the saviour, or cancer.

Do people really think radulov is a world class talent? The guy gets pretty overrated on here IMO.

I think he helps but I don't think he puts Nashville over the top

I don't get this whole thing. This isn't NSH from 2010 where they're desperate for scoring.

The Predators have a great thing going right now and I'd be shocked not to see them in the WCFs.

Why drop a potential grenade in your locker room with 10 games left in the season? He's just going to get great chemistry with such a systematic team like Nashville when he hasn't played with them in years, let alone hasn't played in the NHL?

Sounds like a unnecessary risk to me. The Preds aren't a bubble team. They're locked and loaded for the playoffs with the roster they have

Could easily go either way. Hard to take a strong stance. I think you're right that he's good enough for them to at least take a chance on though.

They already did that when they traded a good D prospect and a 1st rounder to make a cup run and keep Suter

Can Radulov go back to the KHL if there is a lockout and still have a year left on his Nashville deal? Correct me if I'm wrong please.

Radulov debating between the WCs and the Stanley Cup playoffs.

He's a guy that just doesn't get it.

I don't see a downside personally, it's not like he can set them back substantially.

I really can't see it hurting them, that much potentially. The only downside could be that he doesn't find chemistry with anyone and it somehow throws their offense off??

They're my team in the West for the playoffs.

It certainly because we added Forsberg. Injuries plagued the team.

I believe this will burn the last year of his ELC.
