Can we please not jinx Phil. Hes only got 5 more goals to hit 40, but knowing Phil that could take 3 games, or it could take as many as 20. He has 10 games left

Carlyle's work behind the bench is really impressive, I like this. Leafs need to build on this win. But I don't think we have a chance to make the playoffs, so we should just lose and get a good draft pick.

Hoping for a lottery pick is just as big a pipe dream as the playoffs IMO. Not happening.
I think this team has been so fragile that if they ended the season on the same note it might take more than the summer to get them to believe in themselves again. Yes they are professional althletes but once snakebitten it takes its toll. You can see how winning the past two games has increased their confidence. Each period they play well, each goal they score, each block, each hit and each fight are helping the players regain their form. It is much better that the team ends the season knowing they can trun things around than hoping they get one of the last places...

After watching the post game interviews, holy **** Reimer kind of lays on the good guyness a little thick. Comes off a little too gaudy for me.

You know, sometimes I think fans can get so caught up in the management and business aspect of the game they truly deprive themselves of the best part of being a fan. Why do you and so many others assume that cheering and enjoying when the team wins is even remotely related to wanting the team to finish 9th?

9th may be our fate, but I doubt anyone is shooting for that.

I'd much rather have that than Avery garbage, to be honest.

Beauchamp has to come in every night and make sure that Leafs fans have their facts straight. Every other teams' fans need to get by without his valuable services.

Heck of a life to live.

great game to attend here in ottawa...highlights:

at the hotel, getting into an elevator and 1 floor up shenn, gunnerson, bozak and aston jump on and start up convo with myself and 2 other leaf fans. nice guys, completely willing to chat.

i think they scheduling guys will think twice about a battle of ontario match up on st pattys day, lots of ejections in the crowd tonight, a few fights in the crowd.

best chant of the night from leafs nation: 'tHIS IS OUR HOUSE"

funniest chant "bring back Bonk"

i do wish the acc had the atmosphere of the leafs games here in ottawa, it would be so much of a harder building to play in

game highlights:

it was a very simple road game, limit chances. yes, it was alot of dump and chase and jump on oppertunities when they come. back to smart hockey
