Jaime Allison placed on waivers!!!

"The Nashville Predators have placed defenceman Jamie Allison on waivers. - The Nashville Tennessean"

You wish it was Jason people.

Not too familiar with him but according to TSN player profiles, he's pretty gritty and physical d-man who can also play the wing. Potential only as reserve. Sounds like he fits on the leafs.

Why would they waive their backup goaltender?

Welcome to the NHL (for good) Shea Weber. Allison could be used on a team like the Flyers. Scratch the crap out of him until lady luck strikes and takes down another D and then put him in as a 6th Dman who plays 7 minutes a game. He's a spot filler and you know what you'll get. He has trouble with speed, but can handle the gritty stuff and will stick up for his teammates. Has more musical talent than hockey talent though.

You should've said "J. Allison on Waivers!" to get a reaction.

Rick Nash, Trevor Letowski and Jody Shelley were welcomed to the Weber era last night...and they were just the first

Allison is actually pretty fast. Hes kind of a tweener who doesnt do anything particularly well enough for the NHL level, if he were only a little bigger. Tries to play physical but doesnt have the size to carry it off. I liked him when the Hawks had him, but it seemed talent wise, he was a notch below being able to make it.

He's a servicable Dman and imo should find a home due to his low contract of 450,000.

I kind of figured it was Jamie, however I was still a bit nervous when I saw this.

Edit: It was more convincing as "Allison placed on wiavers" now it looks like you're trying to fool people.

Nah. Only the non-contenders would want to pick him up.

Is he any good? The Devils really need to replace Clemmenson.

Coming from a Leaf fan, I would LOVE to see you guys replace Clemmenson with Jamie Allison. Boy oh boy would that ever be interesting.

(Allison's a defenceman)
