The hitting is far and few and with no purpose, DSP should not be on the 4th line and should have no impact on Parros playing, and now even Beleskey gets scratched as if we are not soft enough. Nashville did not even take this game seriously and did not even bother with there defensive style because they knew the team they are playing is a joke. Ive said this when he was hired BB refuses to coach a physical hard hitting style and prefers finesse and skill (IE Detroit hockey)
Yes, I've often watched Ovechkin play and thought to myself "man, if only the coach could get that guy to hit". Also Steckel, Hendricks, Bradley and this year Brouwer. He uses a mix and adjusts his style to his players, unlike RC, who for all his talents, had no ability to coach players outside his comfort zone. Half to 2/3 the roster simply isn't made for hitting. That isn't on BB.

Again, the Ducks were by a wide margin the better team. Good to know you were in the locker room and know what the Preds were thinking - I guess they didn't take the Kings seriously either because their play was pretty similar last night as well. Nashville had a large dose of officiating help and the team couldn't score on some great chances. Lindback made a great save on Blake, Palmieri put a great chance into his pad, Klein stopped a Bonino wraparound. I thought Perry played well for obviously still being injured.

Again, agree to disagree about what makes for entertaining hockey. Don't say the team wasn't trying or showing effort though because that's total crap.

If you aren't commenting on the game and don't have anything constructive to say then don't say it.

can't wait for this season to be over we need to overhaul this team and go back to Ducks hockey. enough of the smurfs in the bottom 6.

Next years third line should be some combination of DSP and a physical third line center. SIGN STOLL?
Bottom teams are winning and were losing.... Perfect. We can seriously still end the season with second overall pick!!! NON lottery winning. I see us being third overall. We have San Jose tmrw who is fighting their ***** off for the 8th seed. And we have the best team in the league on Weds. Got lower bowl tickets.... Thanks babe!

But yah! Things are looking
Good for the draft!

I thought DSP looked decent on the top line in the 3rd. Missed a couple close in chances though.

Did anyone else actually watch the game and not wind up in rehab?

Unfortunately I missed just about all of it except for a few minutes around when DSP scored. Thought they had some good energy then but I guess it died out from what I'm reading.

Have you watched the Wild recently? There's no way the Ducks finish 27th

Two breakdowns and two goals. Some.......interesting choices were made as to what were and what were not penalties, pretty clear pick on DSP allowing the EN goal, Perry protested a little forcefully and got a 10.

I thought the Ryan - Bonino - Palmieri line was interesting but Ryan being given penalties for high sticking after being hooked and tripping for being forced offsides and trying to reestablish onside position sorta limited their time. Getzlaf had a strong game as well - actually led the team in shots with 4.

Its funny you say that, I was at Slaters 50/50 in Anaheim Hills for dinner tonight and walking out see Bob Murray sitting at the bar by himself with a large glass of wine.

Speaking of Getzlaf. Here's a question I'd never thought I'd ask in an injury-free season: do you think he'll actually hit double digits in goals this year?

He has 10 more games and he's averaging 0.12 GPG, so.........maybe, because Perry clearly can't shoot well right now. That 5.5% shooting percentage is just brutal. He gets 1 at Calgary and 2 vs Edmonton so I'll optimistically say yes.

Why I think we need to back off the Lydman sucks bandwagon, he's still playing hurt. (Granted, provided he can get healthy ever....)

Quote:
Defenseman Toni Lydman sat out the game because of an upper-body injury that he said he has been playing with for some time.

Lydman said he is hopeful he can play Monday in San Jose.

"(Coach) Bruce (Boudreau) and I just talked and one extra day might make a difference," Lydman said.

"Usually it has in the past when we had days off, it has helped. Tomorrow I should be ready to go."

Bought that Lydman jersey hoping that pairing would just continue to be so key. He needs to take it easy and get ready for next season.

Visnovsky and Lydman aren't close to what they were last year. They were worked in the playoffs against Nashville and they've been worked all of this season. They're just gonna keep getting softer and more injury prone, I don't see the point in keeping either of them.

Time to dump em and use the $ for a number 1. Bogosian would be ****ing perfect. Risky, but at least he's got an edge. Our team gets pushed around on a nightly basis, especially in front of Jonas with screens.

Don't stop believin'... hold on to that... feeling...

Preds have been poison against the Ducks this season so a win here would have been a miracle. I hope that those bottom teams in the East go on a hot streak so the Ducks could get a higher pick.
