So very true. I'm really glad Richards, Upshall, Carter and that whole group are gone. I hope the current guys can at least maintain some measure of maturity. Giroux seems a little too immature/brattish at this point. Maybe he'll grow a little in the next couple seasons.

Giroux is a leader of that locker room. As he goes this team goes. He knows when to muck it up or to stay away from the fire. Maturity is one thing I never worry about with Giroux. On the ice he gives his all and never takes a shift off. Off the ice he trains like a man and tries to be the best he can be. Giroux is in line to become the next great Flyers captain. Not immature/brattish, but everyone is entitled to their opinion.
I find Giroux only immature in that he just turned 24 in January... The Times I've been in his presence I have found him quite and not yet able to work the crowd... he is neither aloof nor uncaring as much as he is/was unused to the limelight and seems to be basically not an outgoing type guy... That said, the last time I saw him with fans in a Q&A he was much, much better, but not yet up to par with the older and more mature players such as Briere... nor the more outgoing players like Talbot or Harnell.
In the more professional setting like with reporters and media with mikes and cameras going after a game Giroux is at his best and seems more mature and at ease as he speaks of hockey.
IMO, Giroux one day will be a stellar Captain -- hopefully with the Flyers -- but it would be a major mistake to rush him like they did with Richards... He should be the Captain who follows the one who replaces or succeeds Pronger.
I think you guys are being way too critical of gina lynn...I seriously don't think any of you would legit turn that down. You're all lying to yourselves if you think that.
I'd jump on gina lynn if she wanted to go, shes a pornstar shes probably a fantastic lay and since shes has to get tested like every two weeks shes probably statistically one of the cleanest women out there.
Yeah, maybe it's just me, but I see him needlessly yapping a lot at the opposition, especially while on the bench and he tends to embellish to get the right calls. Not really captain material at the moment, imo. Needs to cutdown on that bushleague stuff.

Why should I provide links? I've met the guy in person, and I've watched practically every Flyers game in the past 3 seasons. He just doesn't strike me as a very mature individual. Definitely no Keith Primeau, but he can still grow up to be close.

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. I'm just against the general assumption that being a pornstar alone proves you can't be a contributing part of society. Oftentimes that's the case but it doesn't automatically go along with the profession. Also, being a pornstar doesn't impact other people's lifes negatively. They earn their money without exploiting other people, which many professions that have a better reputation do. And there's the easiest solution ever for people who don't like it: Don't watch it! So, yeah, I don't look down on someone who earns their money fair and square and don't do any harm to anyone in the process.
