Also like Draft Guru said, that coast to coast goal against Anaheim in OT was just a thing of beauty. I wish he gave it one more shot, I'd put him on the 4th line and get minimal minutes just to see him play one more time.
Not according to the Hockey DB:

Bure's career ended in 2002-2003, before Jagr joined the Rangers.

I don't think Jagr was on the team. Remember Jagr was only here with everybody for alittle while before the firesale started and Bure had been done for quite a while by that time.

I guess I have my years mixed up then. I thought for sure we got Jagr when Bure was still nursing his knee but I guess not. I'm only 18 and my memory is already going. This is not good.

Probably a sure thing.

I dunno about that. I'd trade Carter for Jagr + half his salary paid by Washington at any time, under any circumstances.

Yeah, but do you think that either Jagr or Bure would have played 2nd-line RW to the other?

I think that Bure would've. I mean, he would've been 35 by now (and to think that the first I've seen him on TV he was 17 and I was 10!), older and wiser. He has accomplished everything except for hoisting the Cup over his head. So, I think Bure would play on the 2nd line just for that chance. And both lines would've been equally effective and dangerous (sans those mother****ing knees).

You know what sucks? I've followed Bure since he was 17 and played on the 4th line of the CSKA with Mogilny and Fedorov. As we know, all 3 turned out to be NHL All-Stars. But Bure was so much more visible and exciting and most popular out of the 3... It just pisses the hell out of me that such talent is no longer playing, especially now! ****! And he hustled his *** off for our beloved Rangers on the backcheck too.

Considering Colorado had both Forsberg AND Sakic... and Detroit had Yzerman AND Federov, etc etc... I dont see an issue with Jags AND Bure...
