Well, then we are on the same page. Stripping OV of the C would do more harm the good and changes have to be made no doubt... i'm even starting to worm up to losing Green and Semin idea, just give it 10 games or so...

I wouldn't be surprised if they won or lost. They tend to play up and down to their opponents. I wouldn't be surprised by a 5-3 game.

I don't think they play up to anyone except for maybe Pittsburgh or NYR...rivalry sort of games that carry a fear factor.

The Caps are a mediocre team that play fairly well when the opposition's will and puck control isn't that great. Against stronger, more determined, more skilled and balanced teams they routinely buckle. Detroit is one such strong team.

They are going to show how bi-polar they are and play a solid game, taking a big W.

We just have to hope that Detroit plays down to us, not that we play up to them.

Holtby starting tonight huh? I like it. The team could use a little bit of spice that Holtby can provide with his style of play.

Okay,

These are my 2 teams. Of the 2, the Caps need to win this more than the Wings do. Therefore, here's hoping the Caps can win this.

LETS GO CAPS!

Not the only good teams they've beaten this year.

Holtby has let in a bunch of softies this season in Hershey. He's been inconsistent and is ranked 26th for AHL goaltenders.

Stephen Whyno ‏ @SWhyno
Joel Ward is not on the ice for warm-ups. He'll be the healthy scratch tonight at forward for #Caps.

About f*ing time.

Holtby against Detroit in Detroit? I hope they told him, "Hey kid, we know we're gonna get creamed at The Joe. Don't look at the scoreboard. Just get your work in."

Otherwise, pretty tough spot to throw the kid in say, "Win or else!"

Ok, what do you think is the over/under on first period shots?
I'm going with 7. all of them coming in the first 5 minutes, or last 5 minutes of the period.

At least the Caps top 3 goalies are consistent.
