I wouldn't be surprised if they won or lost. They tend to play up and down to their opponents. I wouldn't be surprised by a 5-3 game.

I don't think they play up to anyone except for maybe Pittsburgh or NYR...rivalry sort of games that carry a fear factor.

The Caps are a mediocre team that play fairly well when the opposition's will and puck control isn't that great. Against stronger, more determined, more skilled and balanced teams they routinely buckle. Detroit is one such strong team.

These are my 2 teams. Of the 2, the Caps need to win this more than the Wings do. Therefore, here's hoping the Caps can win this.

Holtby has let in a bunch of softies this season in Hershey. He's been inconsistent and is ranked 26th for AHL goaltenders.

Holtby against Detroit in Detroit? I hope they told him, "Hey kid, we know we're gonna get creamed at The Joe. Don't look at the scoreboard. Just get your work in."

Otherwise, pretty tough spot to throw the kid in say, "Win or else!"

Ok, what do you think is the over/under on first period shots?
I'm going with 7. all of them coming in the first 5 minutes, or last 5 minutes of the period.
