Agreed. I thought he might be able to at least hold on for a draw there for a minute, too.

I don't think there's enough money in the world to help Komisarek get his confidence back.

Markov costs about 5.75 mil/season. That's just about what it would take

There is no shame in losing fight against Lucic- the sooner Komisarek realize this, the better for him. You may say whatever you want about Komisarek hockey skills, especially since he is on Leafs, but you've gotta accept this fact that guy is a warrior.

Komisarek can take a punch that's for sure.

Good for Komisarek. He knew the outcome was not likely to be favourable, but he went for it anyway. He didn't back down and that's what you want to see.
I'd love to see him do it again this game. That would be a warrior. Just keep coming back again and again. And eventually, it would help if he could learn to lock out Lucic's right arm.

Komi stepped up and put Lucic down with a hit. I thought that might spark round 2, which would make Komisarek really ****ing dumb.

Gotta hand it to Komisarek. Lucic destroyed his career, he knew he wouldn't win this fight and did it anyway.

Komisarek's problem is that he is thinking outside of his strengths. Right now he is a very ordinary defenseman and he will not improve from this.

Fun fight to watch, I love seeing Komisarek fail all-out, whether it's his silly turnovers or getting beaten up all three times he challenges Lucic.

Komisarek has played 39 games this season, and that is his 1st fight of the year, it's almost been a full calendar year since his last bout. I would think that he'd be a little fatigued, and maybe a little out of shape given the few number of games that he's actually played this season. I don't think even he should've expected a better showing this time around, but surprisingly he did ok.
As a leaf fan, I'm disappointed Orr was sent down, at least he got under Chara's skin, beat the tar out of Lucic, and actually showed some balls against Boston. In my opinion, he actually was almost the lone reason, the Bruins toughness wasn't as apparent last season as it is this year.

Thanks Looch. I've felt that way as well watching Komi play all year.
