Anyone else think Gabby should have gotten an assist on the Girardi one...
I thought Hags passed it to Girardi but it hit Gabby on the way...

Nice defense in the 3rd period. The Devils sucked entirely so that helped. Henrik was barely tested tonight, so it's good to see the defense show up in back to back games.

BTW, Hagelin has torched the Devils this season. 8 points in 6 games.

Hagelin has also torched Henrique since December. 34 points to 31, and half that was playing on a 3rd line or 4th line.

Hagelin .69 ppg
Henrique .71 ppg

Yeah and now Hagelin has been dynamite since being put on the top line. Frankly, if Hagelin had started the year with us...he may have won rookie of the year...

Awesome game. Not just because of the result, but because this was a legitimate playoff style game and the team came through with shining colors.

Don't think fighting has a place in the game? That was the best start the Rangers have had in a looooong time. The entire team came out fired up and ready to lay the body, but call outs to Dubi, Hagelin, Cally.

Shout out to the unsung heroes, that often get a lot of HF guff. Stu Bickel for a heck of a fight and strong game at D. Brian Boyle I'm sure is catching flack from people on here about not converting on Zucc's pass or the partial breakaway. But he played a great game defensively, and won some big draws tonight.

It may not have been pretty, but that is playoff hockey. Gritty effort, the type they need to build on.

POTG was Hagelin for me, with Dubi a close #2.

I've had a couple games where you guys complained about the audio when Comcast just did not have ANY commentator audio. It was like being live at the game. Heard everything else but zero commentator audio at all.

Comcast must just cut the **** commentating feed for Comcast subscribers and screw everyone else.

Dubi laid a monster hit on someone behind the net right after the "boarding" call. He's at his best when he's physical so hopefully he keeps it up. I noticed he also seems to bring it more against divisional rivals so that bodes well for the playoffs when we will surely play against at least one of NJ, Philly, or Pitt.

Stepan looked like he is awakening from his funk. Some better decision-making and offensive creativity tonight.

I'm still concerned about the defense. But both Bickel and Erixon looked good tonight so that's encouraging.

Honestly, I think Gabby should have gotten a goal taken away from him(even if he scored), total lack of effort/stupid decision making all night. I am still pissed the way he played tonight. The only good play he made tonight was the turnover where he shot the puck.

Boyle just doesn't have the hands. He tries his ass off.
Frankly when Arty comes back, I'd love to see this:

Hagelin-Richards-Gaborik
Dubinsky-Stepan-Callahan
Mitchell-Anisimov-Zuccarello
Prust-Boyle-Rupp

Fedotenko deserves some rest.
Also if we sign Kreider, I'd like to see Prust get a few days off before the playoffs...

Pretty sure Torts was more pissed that Da Bore switched his lineup after submitting his card. Supposedly his lineup didn't include Janssen on it but as you can see, Janssen was clearly playing tonight.

And the biggest difference is that our guys, Rupp, Prust, and Bickel, all are regular players for us. Janssen and Boulton mostly dress to start fights. So of course our guys are going to be playing, they can actually play a regular shift.

Honestly don't know what he was pissed about, maybe just trying to fire the boys up?

A poster from another site

"Just looked it up but Stepan and Henrique took opening faceoff last game at NJ. What the hell is DeBoer talking about."

Anyone know how to look it up and confirm it?
