Fire Todd Mclellan

Todd Mclellan's record with the Sharks over the past years has been great. He has coached our team to the playoffs numerous times. And with every coach comes a system or style of play.

The San Jose Sharks use the boards to their advantage. Their board play is just as amazing as their ability to not cycle away from the boards. Our system is beat by speed and grit. Something we have found ourselves losing over the years.

Maybe a different system or coach would give us a change of pace. I would appreciate a coach who would let our lines create chemistry rather than trying to force chemistry every game.

Would you think a coaching change could benefit the San Jose Sharks if we do not make playoffs or succeed in playoffs?

Considering the personnel, no. If you want to push the pace more, you'll need to get players that fit that style. Maybe he needs to go and maybe he needs to stay but I prefer them to finish the year in whatever make they are then make the changes the GM feels necessary. Canning the coach now isn't going to accomplish anything.

I said if we dont make playoffs or succeed in the playoffs.

I posted this mainly because I wanted to see who would possibly be interested in getting a new system or even coach.

We should clone Gretzky, Lord Toews, Lemieux and Orr. They'll help SJ.

They don't change every game. Things do happen and when those things happens, it sometimes necessitates changing the lines a bit...and they don't all struggle either.

Yes, let's fire the coach with the highest win percentage in the league since he's been hired

Yes. Because when an injury occurs in the playoffs or just before and guys who haven't played all year have to develop chemistry, not so good trying to do it when the pressure is on. He was already burned by the Burger line once. Most of the successful teams change up at least a little as part of their regular season even without injuries. Stable lines are usually the hallmark of losing teams these days.

I approve this thread after the loss against the Ducks tonight. They started off good. Had a couple of bad shifts and Todd decided start juggling once again and completely **** up the lines that won us the last game and got us two goals in the first period of this game. Its like he is a compulsive meth-head when it comes to creating lines. Just because a line or two do bad for a shift or two doesn't mean you need to ***** everything up.

You do when your lines give up four goals and play no defense. The line changes didn't occur until the goalie was pulled.

No he started the second period with different lines, and there was an instant goal against.
