So far Donabass has been really dominant in playoffs, at current rate they'll have to apply for a place in KHL nextseason.

yes, but they are doing it with KHL cast-offs and aged Ukrainian players, they will need to overhaul their roster a bit.

No doubt. More than 60% of current players should be replaced if they indeed want to play in KHL. If they want to be something more than just cellar dwellers, then changes should be even more drastic.

Well, I think that's a given

I don't think anyone would expect them as an expansion team to make an impact in the first season
