My daughter is home on leave so I booted my wife for tonight's game. Very much looking forward to getting her as much hockey as possible while she is home.

Lilja AND Kubina are expected to play tonight. The speed (or lack of) on that pairing is going to be...blahh

I really do not know how I feel about Lilja and Kubina paring. I feel like both players should not be on the ice at the same time.

Is Talbot back as well? And why are we assuming they will be a pairing? Lilja will only play 15-16 minutes. Kubina will probably see a lot of time with Carle and Timonen.

Why would they play Lilja (recently 15-17min TOI) over Gus (17-22min)?

This means the first two pairings are gonna get a ******** of work as Kubina/Lilja will hardly play more than 15min a game.
And last but not least, Lilja is one of the slowest players I've ever seen in O&B.

I just hope Kubina sees some time on the second powerplay unit today. He has a bomb of a shot, but we havn't really had the chance to see it yet.

Are Coburn/Grossmann going to play on a pairing again this game? Last game they looked to have good chemistry together and Coburn had a great game. It reminds me of the Coburn/Hatcher pairing a few seasons back.

Talbot is tough as nails. A few times this year I saw him either take a hit or block a shot that should have put him on LTIR, but the guy just keeps going.

I just watched the Flyer'ed update with Sarah Baicker. Is it just me or does she look strange in front of the camera here?

Lilja with Kubina?

Blaaahh.

I liked Kubina with Timonen when he first got here. It looked solid but Carle can't anchor his own pairing. Carle and Timonen looked good against the pens. Carle with any young player or inferior defenseman is a disaster.

Yay, a weeknight game for a change. No worries about missing the first period due to oversleep, chores needing to be done, etc.
