Yeah, Flyers and Rangers fans were saying this could be a demoralizing loss for the Pens.

Well, I didn't think of saying it yesterday in response to that thought, but now I would mention that our coach doesn't let his players beat themselves up or lose confidence over a loss like that. He came in as a brand new rookie NHL coach and took this team from 10th place to 4th place in less than 2 months, and his team beat the Flyers, Caps, Canes and Red Wings to win the Stanley Cup.

Bylsma brings energy and a positive attitude to the rink everyday and the team responds.

Demoralizing....please!

That's their wishful thinking. The idea of a team that is full of veteran leadership is going to suddenly go "Oh no we lost! It's all over for us now," is hilarious and delusional.

Teams reward for picking up 23 of a possible 24 points in a month: 4 hour practice because they failed to get #24.

Well after losing in the SCF they totally fell apart the next season and did nothing, so they're obviously not hard to demoralize.

Per the Pens Game Day Report, Johnson and Vitale not at the morning skate.
Vitale is day to day.
Johnson skated before practice as part of his rehab.
Everyone else was there!

Good to hear about Vitale. I don't think people realize how important that guy is against teams like Philly, etc..

Hes played well but the Jets will be desperate. Should be a very good game.

I like Thiessen. His little interview in the Pens Report this morning made me feel good about him tonight.

Sid also said a lot of great things. I'm calling his first goal tonight.

So is Dustin Jeffrey still alive or? I've lost track of what's going on with him...

Niskanen's injury isn't believed to be serious.

Would it be? They are missing Niskanen who is more offensive minded. They might want Despres to bring the same kind of element that Niskanen did.

It's not like I couldn't see Strait being called up, but I'm just sayin.

Isn't Lovejoy still around? I'm not too worried about Niskanen since it isn't serious, but I'd imagine they'd just insert Lovejoy into the lineup if Nisky can't go.

lmao, yeah he is. I completely forgot about him. I'd prefer Despres/Strait to him though TBH.

Yes but Niskanen is no longer on the power play so they don't really need his offense. We really don't lose much offense with out him now that Crosby and Letang are back. If it was Martin or Letang out I would expect Despres would get the call.

they won't call anyone up, they needed to get Lovejoy in a game or two before the playoffs anyway so now is as good a time as any.

Niskanen,. Vitale won't travel with #Penguins to Ottawa and probably won't play Sun vs. NJ, Bylsma said. Undisclosed injuries. Lovejoy in.
