Poor Chris Mullin

What is supposed to be the best night of his playing career is literally ruined. All because the Warriors traded away a chucker.

Classless..yet hysterically awesome and I cannot stop grinning.

But yeah I had no idea Warrior fans were that attached to Kwame Brown

Pretty lame on the fans part. You need to know when to voice it (rest of the game) and to let Mullin have his moment.

The owner should have seen this coming, or at least known of the hostility towards him after that trade and understood the risks of being out there. Perhaps they could have found someone else to do the work... a long-term broadcaster or something.

Exactly. He's the owner and calls the shots. His ego got the best of him. Lacob has absolutely no relationship or experience with Mullin, Mullin's career as a Warrior or any role in the glory years of the Warriors, yet he wanted to be there in front of everybody.

Still, it's a bad move by the fans. Your team sucks and youre frustrated. I get it. But show a little respect for the act of retiring a number.

Meh, the guy frickin milked it. He should have just said what he wanted to say and gotten on with it. I've heard Jeremy Jacobs get booed at just about every ceremony ever and he just ignores it and goes ahead. If you show that it bothers you, they will continue and it's best to avoid patting oneself on the back too.

I love how Rick Barry, one of the biggest heels ever tries to quiet the crowd, and are Warriors fans REALLY even close to the best fans ever?
