I haven't been this pumped for a regular season game in a few years, so I really better not be disappointed after this.
Same. Been a long time, probably even longer for me, to be as excited for a regular season game.
We have to win to keep pace with 1st in the Pacific. Either way we can't take the spot tonight, but in order to assure we've got a shot still a, win. What we don't freaking want is for a regulation tie for the Dallas - Phoenix game. No ties!
I'm not high, but I don't know what day it is.
The Kings have every reason to win this game--they're at home, they've been the better team the past couple weeks (though, admittedly, SJ's continued to pick up points) and the Sharks are playing the second half of a back-to-back.
So why do I have this sinking feeling in my stomach?
Biggest game in a while. Win and you keep pace, lose and it will feel like a massive blow to their chances. Sharks will no doubt come out swinging and the kings not only have to be ready, but they have to push back even harder. No let up here, this is the type of game the kings have to win.
"It has not been a good day. I lost my glasses early this morning and I had to go buy a pair of 79 dollar reading glasses today. 79 bucks. You can literally get them at Costco, three-for-20." - Darryl Sutter's response to going up 2-0 in the series.
