Should have just drafted one. Good safeties in this class.
I admittedly don't know much about the draft/prospects but to me at this point it seems like they're gonna wake a WR. No way can they go into the season with Schillens or Kerley as the #2 WR.
From a football perspective, Tebow makes a ton of sense for the Jets for two reasons:
1) He can run the wildcat, which the Jets almost perfected with Smith
2) He can challenge Sanchez. No more sense of entitlement. Sanchez will know that any poor showing will have the media and fans clamoring for Tebow. It could bring out the best in Sanchez.
IMO, Tebow is waaaaaaay too southern and conservative for NYC. He would have a heart attack the first day he meets Mike Bloomberg and hears about Zuccotti Park.
I think he goes to Jacksonville, near his old stomping grounds, and parlays that into the Governorship of FLA
I have no idea what to think about Tim Tebow except I hope he can help this team win a couple more games adding some kind of dimension to the running/passing game out of the Wildcat. Outside of that, I swear, if he is the starter for the Jets ever, I'll be extremely pissed about it.
Ideally Tebow will challenge Sanchez and make him earn his position as leader and starting QB of this team. He should also add some positivity to the dressing room. As a Jet fan, I like the trade.
I hate to sound like a dick, but I'm glad the only time the Giants own the NY headlines is when they win SB's.
As for Tebow, look who the new Jets Ocoord is, look where he came from, and look at the kind of offense he ran.
The Jets should get Ronnie Brown too.
The Jets can keep all the headlines as long as the Giants get them when they win Super Bowls.
This is a complete stunt by Woody Johnson because he can't stand that the Giants have the town's attention.
This also hurts Sanchez, whose psyche is already rattled. Every time he throws an incompletion or interception, he's going to have to look over his shoulder with Jets fans chanting for Tebow. He's gotta be pissed.
