A fluke goal allowed .... a bad play giving them a goal ... a crap call costing us a goal ... failed to capitalize on a long 5on3 ... gave up a softie to start the 2nd ... bad turnover to give them another goal.
The mistake by Devorski doesn't excuse the mistakes by the guys in gold.
Another lackluster effort with everything on the line. Last week it was because we were playing desperate teams jockeying for a playoff spot.
What say the apologists tonight?
I'll save you the trouble. Refs, typical post-road-trip let down, Edmonton is not a good matchup for us......any others?
It's freaking unbelievable this type of effort. Chicago only trailing us by 2 pts now. I thought they weren't catching us "any time soon". But we're just as good as everyone else over the last 10 games right? Still keeping pace?
With everything on the line, we should have pounded this joke of a team.
Understandable. I haven't been this emotional about a regular season game in a while. If I saw Paul Devorski out in public at this vey moment I don't know if I could stop myself from punching him in the face.
I'm fighting some kind of flu, so was asleep until near the beginning of the second. What the hell happened? It looks like we're carrying play, and, from the highlights, they got 4 really weak goals, including one that definitely should have been called back, considering Hornqvist's was. I missing anything else? For whatever reason, based on the way play looked throughout that period, I don't get the feeling this game's out of reach, but...could just be that my head is fuzzy.

Actually, the team's effort isn't the problem tonight. Lackluster effort? Not quite. A fluke goal off Klein ... biggest mistake there was giving Hordi the space to get the puck out front like that. Erat late getting back and Gill just beaten leading to their 2nd goal. Rinne with an inexcusable rebound for their 3rd. Bad turnover leading to another Oil goal.
The boys are still swarming and getting both quality chances and shots. The few mistakes are all biting us hard and we're not capitalizing on the opportunities created.
As for Chicago, we still have a game in hand and hold the tiebreaks. Chicago can't just catch us, they have to pass us with their next five Van, Nsh, @NJ, StL, @Nsh.
