This team has not played well in almost three weeks.
I'd say it's all the way back to the All-Star break that things have been off. First it seemed like Suter and Weber were out of it after the ASG, then you trade Smithson and add Gill, AK46 and Goose. Injury to Klein, Josi and Wilson. There was the week in the schedule with only one game, there was a west coast trip recently and of course the Radulov situation. I think it will be another hand full of games before they start to get it right again, if they do that is.
As long as everything comes together before the playoffs begin is all I ask.
I'm not shocked. It's not uncommon to see the Preds do that and lose, or do the opposite, get terribly outshot and still win.
Sometimes I think we play better when the opponent is more aggressive. Edmonton just did a great job of burying a high percentage of their chances.
We certainly had the opportunity to bury a few in the third. Dubnyk stood on his head. I agree he was the second star...if not the first. I know he let up 3 goals, but considering what he faced, he played extremely well.
I left after the second period. Pitiful. We give Darcy his first goal of the year, give Helmsky his first hat trick and that ****** canoe Jones gets a goal. I am used to seeing stinkers like this in November/December not March.
This is a game we should have and needed to win and completely gave away.
