Les is correct. They get easy minutes and are used as offensive weapons. Very similar to Thornton during the Wilson years.
For both you and Les, I do agree on easy minutes. But they don't get the minutes in the quantity that generally produces Ross in part because of their lack of defense. The point was also regarding improvement because they have improved their offensive game within those protected minutes. How many players recently have won the Ross at their age? It usually goes to the younger crowd. I also don't think the Sedins are superior to all players, but it was used as an example of improving and beating the curve. I don't think they really have a true answer for playoff hockey. IMO, playoff hockey has a side emphasis for extreme creativity on the fly. Pure snipers don't do so well.

There is also the issue of cerebral when one gets a chance to sit down and review and the cerebral to which you usually refer which happens during the play. I don't think the Sedins have it as much for during play (I'd take Datsyuk). The twins are like the guys who get straight A's by burying themselves in the books after school. Datsyuk is the guy who has that innate understanding who doesn't have to pressure himself so hard in his off hours. I would say that both kinds of intelligence come from the same place and it is just that Datsyuk has had resources all along to improve whereas the Sedins may not have had as much of that resource (or paid as much attention if they did). Those guys who are so-called innate intelligences are most frequently a product of their life experiences which are a less formal form of learning.

No, they've just gotten progressively more protected minutes.

What is the status of Todd s contract, when is it up? After the DUcks and Kings game it's clear to me the post season won't happen. I'm ready to change coaching staff this off season, only cause it easyer than changing out all the players.

By the way Doug does things. Look in the ECHL and AHL for replacements.

Did everybody saying there's no replacement available think McLellan was a good fit before he was hired?

Are you a sharks fan or avs fan? Granato was terrible in colorado in his two stints as coach. Are you trying to sabotage the sharks?

I think the players have lost confidence in the system and in the goalie. It's too late to change the system, the only thing they can do now is change the goalie. Greiss needs to get the start against Boston and see if the players respond. If the get a win, play Greiss again and keep playing him riding him until the team gets some of the confidence back.

I remember back in the Fire Ron Wilson days, a lot of people wanted Mike Haviland.
