I'm actually enjoying a bit of hate. We never really got it for anything but our location while we sucked.
I know right.. So much hate about being in Fla, it's a nice change of pace to get hated on because we're actually good...
On a side note, to all them haters, They say we didn't deserve to win that game with so little shots on goal. Well how about Philly NOT getting the job done with us ONLY having 13 shots on net, and our backup goaltender in net.
I can't stand any of the Florida teams.
Lame, go **** yourselves Panthers.
What a lame game.
Clemmeson couldn't play on my men's league team and play like that unf'n real.
Ugh, Florida generates nothing and wins on a lucky bounce.
Florida had no right winning that. 13 shots, are you kidding me? Thats pathetic.
Fly like B-2 Spirits Panthers...
What the hell did Philly do? They got a lot of one and dones, meaning they didnt get a lot of rebound opportunities, and that is because of the teams protection of Clemmensen. And how did Philly score there goal, oh thats right, on a lucky bounce

And ofcourse it's Jovo who deflects the puck into goal.
EDIT: spelling
Clem was in because Jose is undefeated against the Canes, and Clem was 3-1-1 against the Flyers.
Clemmer came in and did the job, but I'll still be happy to see Theo in there tonight! It's been a long time since we've had that confident feeling of a team that can go on a roll, haters be damned. I love that point on the lucky bounce by Philly, pb1300. On to Carolina...
Brilliant not to start Theo in this one. If we would have got pounded, it would have been a lot better for Clemmenson. To take the beating. He stole us two points. Well done.
Looked like Panthers were trying to paint the corner and missed just wide of the net on numerous occasions.
The bottom line is that the Panthers outscored the Flyers 3-0 this game. No Flyer player managed to get a puck in the net against our backup goaltender.
So cry me a river.

WOW thatd be awesome to watch it on the Jumbtron or some kind of Projection on the ice with piped in sound...
I'm really hoping that during the playoffs, away games will be shown at the BAC. Though, I think I can find a buddy with a TV of better qulaity than our Jumbotron.

Are other teams doing anything like this? Pretty cool idea.

Watching an entire game on the BAC jumbotron would be torture. The screens on that thing is like watching a video on a potato.

I remember back during the 2006 SC Finals, Edmonton had their barn open for fans to watch away games. But then again, that's Edmonton and those are the SC Finals. Not sure if we have the fan base to pull it off (or rather make it worthwhile for Yormark) here, especially in the first round.
The Heat did it last year, except they had large screens set up outside the arena, and there were thousands of people there. The Heat also opened the doors when they won the title, and the arena was pretty much filled up:
At worst, I think it'd be great to get everyone together at one of the nearby watering holes for the away games. Does the Booster Club have any lines on places to watch?

only concern is that, much in the way an individual or team turning things around might be doing a lot of things right and not getting results (until of course they get that result and are over the hump), this result for a pretty ugly game could be a harbinger in the opposite direction - e.g., the last trickle of good puck luck at the end of a nice streak.
we were ok in the neutral zone but when philly got the puck deep, we were just manhandled. it was like men versus boys out there - lost battles, turnovers, etc. and philly had some crazy chances in close, missed at least one empty net and, despite the bounce for, got a lot of bounces against. my wife, a fan by proxy, had to avert her eyes for chunks of the last 8 minutes of the game. i did the same during the first period. i don't really buy that this was the game plan.
we'll see how they react tonight tho. every team's allowed an off-game every now and then.
