Average Joes fighting for playoff birth

The Stars have seen names change on jerseys all season. They have been everywhere from top 4 in the west to bottom 4. The Stars have gotten hot thanks to the play of MVP Toews who has 105points in 72GP more than he had last season. He is looking to repeat as scoring champs and MVP back to back and is carrying a team of average players on his back. Polak has been a great D leader as hes amoung the top in MP, Blocked Shots, and Take aways. Both have been huge contributers to a Stars team and have stayed healthy and consitent all year.

The Stars underdogs fighting for there playoff lives.

The Stars currently sit 8th in the West tied with the Avs but have 2 GP in hand and are 3 points behind 6th meaning they are still within striking distance. Many have been suprised with the Stars play including GM Niece. "Mike Yeo, Toews, Polak, Bobrovsky have kept us all in this year when nobody expected us too be a contender for a spot". "Even if we tank at the end of the year im proud of how the guys played this year were a young group and have a bright future ahead".

The Stars who are lead by Toews and Polak vetern Stars. But two people who should garnish attention come award time is both rookies of the Stars. Mike Yeo who new to the NHL and HFNHL has his players buying into the system he wants them too and winning games. "He should get votes for the Jack Adams look at our team and the turn over on the roster if we make the playoffs and i was a GM id vote for him" Captain Toews whose having his best HFNHL year under Yeo. The other is up for the Calder manning the pipes and coming up clutch Bobrovsky has been rock solid well not posting world class numbers he faces tons of shots, top of minutes played, is amoung the leaders in SO aswell. "Polak blocking all those shots really helps me i appreciate the D core they all defensive minded guys and get in the lanes for me my numbers would be alot worse without them" said Bobrovsky of his teammates.

If only your "Average Joes" were covered by Cotton McKnight and Pepper Brooks, people might actually watch your team's surprising stretch drive.

Heck, they'd make the NHL Leafs almost worth watching, and that's saying something.
