He sucked when he left, so he's going to be worse.
Go have a vigil to bring him back. LOL

I think that ship has sailed. Best I would offer is an invitation to camp and see what he can do preseason...nothing to lose.

Fine in a limited role. Same negative comments we heard with Jagr.

I was a fan when he was here but he has slowed down way too much since. He sucked with the Sens and Pens.

Invite wouldn't hurt. Though I doubt he'll be any good.

Jagr played well in the KHL and was awesome at the IIHF WCs
Let Kovalev go dominate the WCs and we can reexamine at that point
For some reason I dont think he's capable

Jagr is one of the best performers in NHL history.

Problem is even if he was good at camp I doubt he would even be half decent for more then a couple dozen games and suck for the rest. In other words he would be using up a roster spot that could be filled by someone more useful and younger.

if he's does enough to convince whomever the GM is this summer that he wants back in the NHL badly and is healthy, I see no harm in letting come into camp on a tryout basis.
certainly wouldn't give him any guarantees, and he'd have to show not only the ability to still contribute, but also a positive mindset in being used in limited minutes (~15min/game) as a 3rd liner/PP specialist

Add his last season in Montreal and we are talking 4 poor years in a row
WHY? Why even think about this?
His last year in montreal he was bad? He had 66 points, more than any "great" hab currently has, be it cole pacioretty or desharnais.

We need fewer sideshows not more. Time to clean house and focus on winning, not gimmicks.

maybe we would have won more games this year if we had him on the pp or in shootout instead of our pathetic shooters.

Just a suggestion (which most of you wont like
)
Sign him and Andrei Kostitsyn in the off season and reunite the AK-TP-AK line.

It was the first year of a 4 year decline.

Compared to what's left for the UFA market this upcoming season... yeah.
Third line, second wave PP.

get real.
the guy is 40
Has 1 goal in 22 games in the KHL this year.
has been going down and down since he left Montreal.
Maybe habs could hire him for training sessions, PR and PP lessons.

If the Habs could "Radulov him", and bring him in for a post-trade deadline playoff series or two, it would be a lot of fun to see AK27 notch a classic slapper top shelf in the postseason, you know he would have a bit of magic in him, the kind of flair for the dramatic that could only happen in playoff hab land
