Suspend Capuano for being mentally challenged

Seriously though, that is a pretty hefty punishment. Frankly I think they should have been harder on the franchise though. I think they took away a couple of 2nd round picks from them.

the NFL really could have made an example of them & taken away their next 2 1st round picks & their next 3 2nd round picks and their next 5 3rd round picks.

That would all but assure that no team/coach would ever do that again.

They had a bounty program with the intent of injuring players.

I'd like to see the Isles have a bounty program - with the intent of having anyone (not named Martin, Hamonic or Tavares) HITTING players.

"free cole slaw with your sandwich if you hit dat guy"

Not a Saints fan at all.. But holy crap I believe this is just a tad harsh. I totally expected 4 games at the max if a suspension at all. I understand yeah they screwed up and the directly disobeyed the NFL commisioner but from what I've read this stuff has been going on in the NFL forever. Belicheck and the Pats straight up cheated during the SUPER BOWL and only got a draft penalties and fines.

Coaches run a bounty pool on every NFL team? No, not at all.

Players sometimes pay bounties, but when it's an organization phenomenon there must be punishment.

What the Pats did was completely overplayed and practically harmless compared to "Bountygate."

A lot of teams have had bounties in the past. It's not totally unheard of in the NFL. After this big punishment it might be though. Good for Goodell.
