So you're saying, if I got this right, to do a dispersal draft then let teams pick their keepers? Another good idea.
Didn't really mean that but I guess that works haha. Although at a point the dispersal draft will be pointless since theirs only so many keeper worthy players.

That's why, if we went that route, we'd just go two or so rounds.
Sent this e-mail out to everyone besides myself and the contraction teams:

So, in other words, it's Saturday, April 14th 2012. All prospects are included as automatic keepers and you're allowed to keep up to 8 players form your NHL roster. So it's farm club+8. You can post your keepers and prospects at any time before then in the HFBoards topic, but please note that you are still allowed to make trades during that one week between the end of our playoffs and the keeper deadline (not before that week or after it).
Also, for those wondering, you can post your keepers and change them whenever you want so long as it's before the keeper deadline. Once the keeper deadline hits all posts are final and whatever you have posted will be counted as your keepers. If you don't select 8 keepers or you don't select your prospects then I will select them for you come deadline time. Also note that there's a 10 player prospect limit.

As a relatively major side-note, all non-playoff teams can start making trades now if they'd like. Playoff teams, however, are forbidden to trade until the playoffs are over.
Hahaha. GG, I think you're more concerned with making trades than you are with winning
When you're in like 8 fantasy leagues you find you have to mix it up a bit to have fun with them all. So, kind of. Traded away all my good players for young upside players for the purpose of rebuilding and retooling.
Rest assured though I have not many established NHLers to trade so any trade I make from here-on-out will likely be for NHLers.
I'll re-post mine since it was all the way back on page 3.

Thanks for posting your keepers so quick. Remember that they can be edited up until the deadline, just so long as you give me notice.
Playoffs are interesting so far. Loser with a nice come back from behind victory it looks like and, as for Beef...yowza. Sorry Beef. Rest of the matches are really close.
Thinking about starting a playoff pool after the regular season is over with a 20 dollar reward for the champ (no buy-in necessary). Post here if you're interested. Looking for like 10 people in total. Myself is one so we need at least nine more. Anyone interested?
Also our playoffs are going well. Very close matchup and Loser is making an underdog style run here.

I am in.. Why not get people to put in money and make it even more interesting. I will gladly put 20 bucks up for a buy in if you want to go that route. I will still put up money to make the prize pool better too, you have put enough money into our league. Surprising us with a payout for our accomplishments was enough!
Also thank you for the compliment on my team. I hope I can last so I get them back healthy for a championship match-up. It's gonna be a close call.
Updated the OP with up-to-date info. Also, a couple notes.
I touched upon this earlier, but the only times until next season where trades of keepers, prospects, and draft picks won't be allowed is the day of the keeper deadline (to give me time to make sure everyone gets their lists in) and the duration of the next draft. Those are the only times this off-season where trading is forbidden. Other then that it's open season for trades. So if you're not satisfied with your keepers, prospects, or picks then feel free to trade them.
I've also decided on how the prospect, pro draft, and contracted teams will work. The players of the contracted teams will be put back into the pro and prospect drafts. Taking Hollywood's suggestion, the order of the pro draft will be decided by us ourselves. Starting in reverse order of the standings and working our way up, each person will select what draft position they would like until the final draft order is decided. Keep in mind that both the pro and prospect draft will be serpentine drafts. The prospect draft will just be one big lottery. The rank you're at in the standings is how many entries in the lottery you have. For instance, since I'll be the 14th team out of 14 or the 12th team out of 12 I'll get 14 or 12 entries in the lottery. Then the next person gets 13 or 11 and so on and so forth. I keep pulling entries out until all positions are decided.
I think that sounds extremely fair to everyone. Serpentine style drafts, we get to pick what position we want in the pro draft, and the prospect draft is the luck of the draw, but still influenced by the standings. Sound good to the majority of you?
Also, I'm very aware that this whole season has a been a bit disorganized, but like this has been some of yours' first fantasy seasons ever this is my first time as commissioner ever and thus there was a learning curve. Things are mostly set though and even though the last of things are being decided as we go, I have most of our rules and regulations already set and stated. Sometime in the off-season I'll put a compiled, organized set of rules and regs in the OP.
In the meantime thanks a lot for all of you bearing with me and staying active. Really appreciate it.
