Again, I don't have a problem with Esche saying he's disappointed and if he left it at that then it would be fine. However, IMO, he went too far by saying that he thought about not going at all. To me, it sounds like he is a little kid stomping his feet when he didn't get his way.

I think it is stupid how the olympic players are chosen far in advance. They should leave room for last minute replacements so Miller could go. if the Olympics are supposed to be comprised of a country's best players, why leave the better player at home?

As great as that may sound, it's just not realistic. People (players, families, etc) need time to plan an international trip.

Esche was wrong in making those comments, but I still think he deserves the nod over Grahame. He played well for the US last time around.

Grahame allowed three goals against Latvia, think anyone else will get a start now?

No. One goal he was completely screened on, the other was an amazing shot of the crossbar above his head, and the other was a 3-on-1.

I honestly think both DiPietro and Esche would have lost the game tonight.

Grahame made some amazing saves as well.

i disagree, i dont think grahame looked very good at all. Not at all saying that the tie is his fault but he wasnt impressive in the least bit

Some massive rose-tinted glasses here. Grahame, Miller and DiPietro have impressed me more this season than Esche. Why is everyone so up in arms about it? It gives him more time to get fit for the NJ game

It wasn't really his fault.
