I aint even mad if we miss. Teaches a good lesson to the young guys.

But at the same time I'd love to drive to ottawa in my jersey and sens car flag and watch a game.

My liver can not handle a collapse. If we lose, I will drink myself to the grave

If we were playing poorly overall I'd be worried, but it's more along the lines of our offence going cold. It's pretty hard to imagine our offence slumping this badly for too long as well. Our PP is 0/21, there's just no way that continues.

All I'm saying is Buffalo isn't the only team we're concerned with. Buffalo can close that combination to below 12 points and we could still make the playoffs.

Our young guys have won... Our vets havent... Alfie, Phillips, Neil, Spezza to a lesser degree have been apart of plenty of playoff dissapointments...

Greening, Smith, Condra, Obrien, Butler, Daugavins, Cowen won the Calder Cup...Considering theyre all in the lineup in some capacity... Id say thats valuable experience...

Ottawa just needs to find thier scoring touch again, Bishop and the defense are playing fine right now. I really hope that Toronto loss doesn't come back and bite us.

You're seriously comparing the Calder Cup to the Stanley Cup? Stanley Cup finalist >>>>>>>>>>>> Calder Cup win. Why don't you ask Washington the Bears' Cup wins have been towards their Stanley Cup success?

Im comparing winning a Championship to not winning a Championship... You cant discount a large portion of our current team winning an AHL Championship... Especially in the fashion they did it... Put it this way... That is the BEST experience they could have to this point in their careers...

Am I saying being a Stanley Cup finalist isnt good experience?? No, but its not winning... Is it?

Would it be better for our NHL team if our AHL team never won anything?? I dont think so.. If it wasnt important, guys like Zack Smith, Colin Greening, Erik Condra wouldnt have been sent back down last year... Ya dig?

As long as they make it or just finish ahead of Toronto I'm happy. Of course I have complete confidence in my pre season prediction that Ottawa will finish in 7th. Leafs suck.

I'd rather finish behind the Leafs if we missed, but whatever.

You can probably add Florida to the mix too. 3 of these teams will likely make it.

Florida
Ottawa
Washington
Buffalo

It is also possible that if Washington catches us they also catch and pass Florida.

We currently hold the tie-breaker vs Florida and Buffalo, but not Washington

They better win their next game or else all good will is gone out the window....all of a sudden we can't afford a Spezza no show or a bishop screw up. Speaking of bishop it would not be funny if team lost a playoff spot with him up losing a number of games and Lehner down after his more impressive stint.

Hockey is funny, Lehner wins a few games & people think he can carry a season. Bishop has played great as well but because the team didn't win he had a less impressive effort. Bishop only allowed one goal last game, I think that loss was on everyone else on the team & not on Bishop, in fact, he was one of the stars of that game. Unless there is a trade in nets, people will have to get used to the fact that Lehner will be in Bingo next yr again unless he decides to go back to the SEL which I doubt. But he will also be one injury away from returning to Ottawa should either Bishop or Anderson get hurt next season.

Bishop hasn't been the reason we have been losing though so i don't see where you're coming from.

Friday's a big day....if we win, and the Sabres lose, we look 1,000,000 times better.

Agreed. This weekend is going to be huge. Let's pull away and have some breathing room again.
