Who is the best Enforcer Right Now?

Which current enforcer best combines hockey skill as well as fighting skill?

Dont count guys like Lucic, but do count guys like Thornton who play a bigger role than just fighting.

Thornton actually is a pretty good hockey player, and one of the best fighters, so my vote goes to him.

I say chris neil, I m willing to bet he has more points this year than any other enforcer's career year.

This is a 2 horse race for me between Neil and Thornton.

Another guy I like is Tim Jackman, hes not quite at the same level as these 2 though. Asham has gotta be up there too

another +1 for Neil and Thornton. not too sure about out west. But these 2 (especially) Thornton play with confidence.

The coach has instilled confidence in Thornton and it shows on the ice. Whereas other true enforcers know their role; and likely shy away from the puck (other than to dump it in and crash bodies)

flyers fan here, hate him, but Mike Rupp and it isn't even close, is the perfect example, many guys here listed could take him but with his production and experience he tops the list. Neil is second but not Rupp

I like Rupp alot, but I don't see it as not even being close. What is it he does that Thornton or Neil can't do?

Ryan Reeves of the Blues averages 8 to 10 minutes on the 4th line and has put together some viscous hits!

did you read the instructions about that poll? not for the est enforcer, it was (supposed to be) for best pound for pound fighter.

Not necessarily different, but definitely not the same. That poll was not properly managed as by all accounts it should be filled with guys in the 190-200lbs range, which only Neil fits in.
