Seriously Cally would win POTG even if he didn't score.

Also Hank was amazing. Soft goal but went god mode again.
That goal was a helluva screen. I can't even see where the **** the puck comes from on multiple replays. No way he ever saw that with 3-4 players in front of him. Completely screened

I don't think it's even debatable at this point. Callahan is the best Captain in the NHL. No questions asked.

Just watching all these clips, Callahan really was unbelievable this game. "And that's a real captain."

And let me just say this. Everyone talks about Callahans grit, leadership, checking, defense, effort, doing the little things, etc etc. By no means am I disagreeing, that's what makes him great. But that snipe in OT, incredible skill. Intangibles aside, Callahan is just a very good hockey player.

Also, Dubi had a great game. Vintage Dubinsky right there. A couple of plays where I questioned his decision to pass the puck or over handle it, but he was a monster along the walls, took the puck to the net...great game, hope we see this consistently from him.

Did MSG even cover this game anywhere? Would love to hear Sam call that one.

Hope Cally hits 30.

His shot block in the 3rd period was awesome.

****ing Cally is the only name that should be in this thread, all ****ing heart.

He will easily find his name hanging in the MSG rafters post-retirement, next to Henrik's.

I love Callahan. How did we get so fortunate to land him. He's a godsend. Seriously.

He's pretty much been a 20+ goal scorer over his past four seasons and has been getting better each year. He's definitely the kind of player who will be hitting his prime in his late 20s/early 30s. I can see him getting even better over the next few seasons. A 30 goal scorer may not sound like much, but it still shows how underrated his skill is and how complete of a player he is.

Every game is so big and every point is critical. With a win Friday, we'll have our highest point total since 94 (100 in '06). I thought Detroit played a strong defensive game, and Conklin was good. Huge win though, we played a very solid game too.

Gabby needs to play better, and Hagelin's play has tailed off a little the past two games.
I don't think Hags is playing poorily. I think Gabs is not doing ANYTHING with the ice he is getting. He is allowing Richards and Hags to do all the work. Then he gets the puck and unless he has a perfect skating lane, he just throws the puck back in the corner.

I expect to see that stuff from Cally or Dubi. I don't expect to see that crap from someone who is supposed to be a dynamic scorer.

Gabs isn't anticipating, skating, or showing a shred of effort. If that is how he expects to play in the playoffs, I hope he gets traded in the offseason. Leading scorer or not.

He's such a boss. He basically pimp slaps every puck that comes near him. Ask Matt Moulson....

Especially in this day and age where 36 is 3rd in the league, 27 is a significant chunk.

Steve Kouleas and Craig Button just had a nice little talk about Callahan on That's Hockey Tonight. Kouleas said he thinks Callahan is the 2nd best American player in the league behind Parise. Cally is a monster, he does everything.
