96 pts would gaurantee us a playoff spot; therefore, 6-2-0 or 5-1-2. knock off pts every time buffalo loses pts in either regulation or overtime. im aiming for 93 pts to get us in

Absolutely not. Last season was a full year of misery, life's been pretty good this year. Even if we don't make it, it's 2-3 weeks tops of any emotional distress.
we'll just have to agree to disagree.

I'd hate to come this far to collapse and miss. It would sting.

If we were out of the playoffs all year, missing wouldn't be as surprising or hurt as much. Especially when its what we were supposed to do.

6 points - 90 pts total

Maple Leafs @Sabres 2

Sabres 90 pts
This seems plausible.

Who wins the tie breaker in this scenario?

I've been cheering for them this whole time, well except Saturday's game.

The Leafs need to win a few games, so they miss the playoffs and stay out of the lottery.

2.The greater number of games won, excluding games won in the Shootout. This figure is reflected in the ROW column.

Sens ROW in a moment 32, Buffalo 28, Winnipeg 30, Washington 35

So i guess we have advantage with Buffalo and Winnipeg in equal points.

So if Ottawa would be so kind to go at list .500 rest of the way, Buffalo need 6-1-1 to win this race.

That's what is irksome. The sens don't need to do much to make the Playoffs they just can't seem to get it done.
