Rofl, Färjestad played Nygren as an overager in hopes of making the top 10.

They also played Pettersson-Wentzel in the net....

Regarding champions I too think Rögle will be hard to stop. The north series have had some strong years but i think south is at least as good this year. Rögle, Frölunda and HV can all win.

Surprised Brynäs lost to Södertälje and that Djurgården lost to Malmö.

Skellefteå AIK - VIK Västerås HK 2 - 3
AIK - Färjestads BK 3 - 4
Djurgårdens IF - IF Malmö Redhawks 5 - 0
Linköpings HC - Frölunda HC 5 - 0 (LHC promoted to next round)
HV 71 - Leksands IF 4 - 1 (HV promoted to next round)
Rögle BK - Luleå HF 5 - 2
Brynäs IF - Södertälje SK 3 - 4 (SSK promoted to next round)

SSK sends Brynäs packing with 2 straight wins, a big upset imo. Linköping cruises past the champions Frölunda.

Emil Lundberg and Willy Nylander played very well together from what I saw, both with five points in the two games.

A bit interesting that only four teams from Elitserien- organizations made it to the quarters. Can't happen that often?

William Nylander looks like a future star. No points yesterday against HV71 but he managed to hit the post 3 times and has collected 5 points in 3 games. He is apparently going to train with the senior team this summer and will most likely get the chance to play with them next season.

Looks like he's doing pretty good off the ice too. He's two years ahead in school

Modo beats Färjestad in OT. Modo, Rögle, Linköping, HV71 is the final four.

Rögle-Skellefteå will play final in J18.

I think J20 will be streamed here tomorrow: http://www.swehockey.se/Hockeyakadem...njer/jsm_2012/

Beating Brynäs without Lucas Wallmark and with four players born in '96 in the line-up deserves som recognition I think. Hope they'll bring home the first gold since 1988!
And Rögle playing both J18-final and J20-semifinal at the same time as they're fighting to reach Elitserien!

Will the J18-final be streamed on swehockey as well?
EDIT: Never mind, it says right there "18:30 J18 Final" . I am blind.

I'd happily see Rögle get promoted to Elitserien. They're doing it the right way.

Crazy finish to the J-18 final. SAIK very unhappy with the refs to say the least. Started slashing their sticks into pieces at the bench when Rögle scored 4-3. Wallson got a 5+match for abuse of officials. Then they gave the refs a mouthful afterwards aswell.

I don't blame them, anyone would be mad at the refs when their decisions have such an impact on the outcome of the game.

Pretty fun game.

Still depressed over Djurgården in Allsvenskan though

Gold to Linköpings HC! Won 3-2 in the gold medal game vs HV71 after overtime. Markus Modigs with the winning goal.
