Put the pointer over the name and it shows a user's prior screen name.

I never knew that, is that new, or have I just never noticed it? I loathe it when people change handles, confuses the hades out of me.

I didn't know where to ask this so I'm putting it here - Regarding the October 2 game in Brooklyn against the Islanders:

The Barclays game is not part of the Isles STH package.. My rep is brand spanking new(started like a week ago) but he told me it is technically a NJ Devil home game, but that they are not publicizing it. Can someone else confirm or deny this with a reputable source?

It sounded odd to me and I have not heard this anywhere else.. he said the isles two home preseason games next year will be NVMC and bridgeport. Not sure if he is just wrong. It doesnt matter in the long run as Barclays is trying to woo the isles not the devils but i am curious if devils STH's will get a shot at this game...

Is this part of NJD's STH package for next season? Does anyone know yet?

(The barclays site doesnt say who is home but they are showing only the Isle logo, so i still tend to believe it is an isles home game.)

No clue. Strange if the Islanders aren't the home team and it would be a major inconvenience for Devils STH.

It's not uncommon, I personally know about 10, one who regularly posts on this board.

I really can't see the Devils giving up one of their 3 home gates for the preseason at The Rock, so if anything it would be a 4th "home" game, which most likely would not force season ticket holders to automatically be on the hook for it. Likely an option to add it, and most STHers would not do so.

I have absolutely no idea, but I'd be highly skeptical that a game in Brooklyn would be slated as a Devils home game. Keep in mind that low-level STH sales reps are on par with 1970s used-car salesmen. Do. Not. Trust.

Did this by any chance come up in a discussion about price? (i.e. just how many useless preseason games that nobody wants to attend and are a total waste of money, will I have to pay for as an Isles STH?)

If it is a Devils home game, I wonder if the designation is merely political, you know, so it's less of a "shot across the bow" if they technically call it a Devils home game.

I doubt it's a Devils home game. We only paid for 3 preseason games.

For Devils/Rangers games, Blondies on the UWS is regarded to be perhaps the best sports bar in Manhattan.
Is this Atomic Wings Blondies? Wow - haven't lived in the city since 93 - glad to see it's still going.

They don't usually announce the pre season schedule until like training camp right? Don't see how anyone could know this for sure yet.

The Devils just sent out a link to buy tickets for this game, and when you click on the TicketMaster link, it takes you to a TicketMaster page with the Isles logo on purchase page, not the Devils' logo.

Crazy hot actress friend of mine bartends at Blondies sometimes.

Not entirely germane, but figured I'd brag for no real reason.

That aside, I work at 25th and 7th, walking distance from rat turd central, home of the Blue beskirted fartmonkeys.

I know of no hotbeds of hockey drinking nearby, and certainly not of the Devils variety.

But happy to join up somewhere in Manhattan to watch road games from time to time if the HF gang finds a locale.

Seriously though, are we playing a home game at Barclays pre season? I'd have a serious problem with that.

NY Islanders v. NJ Devils Preseason Game

That's what it says on my order confirmation. Bought 2 tickets for $27 each.

Going to be in city tomorrow night. Know of any bars around times square/MSG that would have the Devils game on?

Rangers don't play tomorrow night but Islanders do.

Live downtown in Battery Park City... one of the best bars to watch games is Suspenders, down on Broadway (near Trinity Church). I'm friends with the owners and always have them switch to the Devs when they're playing

The flying puck is a hockey only bar on 31st and 7th that has all the games on ..great atmosphere but expensive ie: $7 bottles of bud

I used to live a a sandwedge away from there, only problem is it's a ghostown by 7pm once the Wall Street crowd goes home. But I guess it would be cool if they turn on the game sound and you dont care about a crowd atmosphere. Food isnt bad. I wouldn't consider it if they dont turn on game sound though.

oh wow didn't even think of that. yeah it does get dead after that crowd leaves. I'm in Queens though so I have a few bars lined up that I'm going to go once I'm legal for real.
