- not to imply that Fedorov had poor team play or that Datsyuk is not athletic; it just seems that their styles of play are so different.
They are the only two players in recent memory that could win the Selke and still be the best offensive talent on the team. Good defense is good defense, no matter how you cut it. And to top that off with unreal natural offensive talent is pretty rare.

From a GM, "Detroit is the best team we've played this year. It's not even close. Their puck control is incredible...You have to hope your goalie has a great night to give you a chance."
The Datsyukin devil! Coming from a Hawks fan you guys are so lucky to have him! He's something else! I hate playing against him because I feel he's gonna pull some highlight reel goal on us and embarrass us lol. Great player.
Agreed. It sounds like a 20 year kid to me. I was watching the wings one on youtube and thought it was an "unofficial" one that a fan had just made or something.
The voice doesn't help.
But it ain't the problem. The problem is the campaign sucks.
Lately, because of that AWFUL Clint Eastwood/Chrysler commercial that aired during the superbowl, everyone wants some 60-year-old grouchy grunt as the voice to be their narrator.
But you can always re-watch this one to cheer you up.
You know I really liked that one but at the same time, the fact they made that one in particular showed why they had to stop making them. A first round goal for a team that went out in the second round. Hell, nobody remembers 99% of the goals Gretzky or Orr scored in the first round of the playoffs the years they won Cups.
"Because it's the Cup" could be a good campaign if they hadn't lost sight of what makes sports and the Stanley Cup in particular great - passion, emotion, dreams, the tension and the relief, the heat of the action, attack and defense. It's war by other means. You don't bring that across with some dweeby dude narrating it like an Apple commercial and visuals straight out of a light beer commercial.
