no, there's a semi pro team "kolos" in the area - not sure they are from Krasnodar, but from Krasnodarskiy Kray for sure.
Thanks, learnt something new.
Allhockey today wrote, that CSK VVS Samara next year will tripple its budget and stop being such a shambolic debt-ridden hockey club in such a huge city. Now Lada needs to flex the muscles and return to KHL.

So they are aiming to play in the VHL? Or will they stay in the Russian Hockey League (3rd tier)?
Edit: Read the article, they're staying in the RHL for now.

Very nice start to the semis. Toros destroyed Donbass 5 to 1. Rubin also isn't in its best shape (had serious troubles in both previous rounds) and that is a good opportunity for Dizel.
I am shocked that Toros has swept Dumbass (lol)....The players from Donetsk must have pre-ordered their vacation at a discount rate and had to have been swept to make the dates)

Quite a few of them will still have to play for Ukraine, so there goes your theory
So, now situation is bit more clearer how with all those potential additions league will still contain only 24 teams because it was just announced that Mechel Chelyabinsk as of today is no more. Mechel hockey school and MHL B team will continue to work as before. Probably Traktor will take over the MHL B side and will send their youngsters there, thus getting the second youth team they were wishing for.
As it stands:
- Donbass to KHL,
- Mechel to "heaven"
+ Buran Voronezh
+ team #23
+ team #24
So two spots for three cities (Karaganda, Krasnodar, Tver) to compete for.

Mechel will stay, there's also THK and one more team that applied, I thought
I think it takes time until cooperation among KHL-VHL-MHL will work ideal. At least I believe in it You know, VHL works 2nd season, MHL 3rd.
Some clubs cooperation at good level - Salavat Yulaev Ufa vs Toros (MHL eligible guys played VHL: Grigoriev, Pankov, Emelin, Polozov), Ak Bars vs Neftyanik (Garipov, Karp, Yarullin, Golubev, Lukoyanov 89, Bocharov until going to Yugra). You mentioned Neftechimik vs Dizel cooperation (Alshevsky bro). Severstal vs Kristall S. (Gromov, Trandin), SKA vs VMF (Shikin, Ivannikov, Berdyukov, Serkin, Konozov, Monachov). Others dont do anything (CSKA, Amur, Avangard, Yugra)
maybe problem is that KHL club can send 6 guys to VHL club (or 10 to two or more VHL clubs). On the other hand I understand this rule - VHL is not so happy if you send here a bunch of kids. VHL club has to make space for own kids, guys,
