No. The regular season ended and now it's time for the playoffs.

I don't know if it's been said here already, but he broke the franchise record also for most points by a defenseman in one (regular) season.

Vatanen had the game winning goal when his team won their first game in playoffs 4-1. I put the video here later but the goal is the basic "Vatanen cannon".

Who needs Schultz?

But I do expect big things from Vatanen. Now only if Schultz would sign too. Drool...

From what I've heard, Lubo is a little heavier than Sami. Lubo is probably around 5'10" 200 ish, but Sami is probably at most 185. Lubo seems to be very strong on his feet, hopefully when Sami comes to NA, he can still be strong on his feet with the more physical play style here. Sami certainly would bolster our PP quite a bit.

Yeah, it was a bomb of a shot. A goal and a place in the three stars of the game, that is an average performance for Vatanen lately.

There was also a brawl in the final seconds of the game, not too common in SM-Liiga. (Sami was not involved)

Well here's the video of the FEL playoffs game JYP - Ässät:

http://www.nelonenpro.fi/j%C3%A4%C3%...C3%A4t-2232012

If you just want to see Sami's cannon, skip to 1:57. He played a bit more conservative today, but still had his moments. One great coast-to-coast at the beginning and a penalty to the opponent. Might have scored otherwise.

I doubt it because I would be betting on his team going very far in the playoffs. They have two good goalies, defence is fine and their forward group has depth and they have a lot forwards who can play two-way. Their opposing teams are going to struggle scoring against them.

Wow, thanks, great job.

Visually, his shot looks way more efective than Charas #vatanenwatch

Basic night for Vatanen, scored a goal, was one of the stars, most ice time and most shots in his team. We will put a video of his goal once they put it up. I'm guessing it's the usual "Sami-Cannon" type of goal.
