This is the third game the Kings play against the Hitchcock Blues. Previously, the Kings won 3-2 and lost 1-0 against the Hitchcock Blues (the Kings also had a 5-0 win against the Blues pre-Hitchcock).

While a win would be nice, in the last 9 games if there is a game that the Kings can "afford" to lose, it's probably this one. Riding a 5 game win streak, if they lose and then go into another 5 game win streak, that'd be alright by me...
BTW, for the first time ALL YEAR I bet on the Kings-Sharks game on the over (over 5). So hells yeah, take that Herby (Probably back on the under tonight though, since LA/STL are #1/2 in GA this year )

Still can't defend Geoff Courtnall. I've always had a bit of a soft spot for the Kings and their fans as you guys are the only other ones left from 67 without a cup.

Courtnall didn't try to move, but Storr didn't help anything by lunging forward. That 5 minute penalty to O'Donnell was terrible though. Ended up with what had to be one of the worst 5 minute major PP sequences ever. Comebacks are one thing, but that was just indescribable.
That video infuriates me everytime...Storr was easily one of my favorite goalies at the time.
I was AT that game. I have never heard 17,000+ people go so silent, so suddenly, as when the Blues scored those four goals on the major PP. And this was after they were ALL chanting "LARRRY! LARRRY!" for Robinson as the team headed in for the 2nd intermission... just the most amazing "deafening silence" ever heard...
