Yeah, but a few of teams that he named have different situations now. Mostly Toronto. They are probably more willing to give up the farm and who else to put with Kessel than Nash?

If Toronto wants to give up the farm for an overpaid player, then fine by me.
Nash is going to be calling the shots. Reports during the deadline were saying he wanted ONLY NY and his stance is not going to change in the offseason. He has NMC, he'll go where he wants too.
It would make more sense to add a veteran like Jagr or Selanne for a year to help mentor Kreider. Jagr is not going to happen, Selanne is a long shot. They can also still score. The only move that makes sense this offseason is Parise, but I doubt he comes unless the Rangers offer him a ludicrous amount of money.
If that's what it'll take to get Parise...then PASS.
UFA market economics are a ***** indeed. That cap hit is essentially Nash's cap hit and similar production, but without giving up the farm. Nash may have more talent, per say, but Parise fits this team far better. Parise is still the better option despite his high price tag.

And if he says "only NYR", then Howson has got to lower the asking price substantially because Sather is not an idiot. If the only possible team for Nash is the Rangers, than Howson is stuck and Sather has all of the leverage. The Nash holds out and they have to trade him for spare parts AND pick up part of the contract (ALA the Jagr trade)

Selanne is probably going to retire a Duck and Jagr? Meh, i'd probably be for it depending on the price. Could always get a Jagr and trade for Nash. Not sure on our cap for next season, though.

Which is exactly why I think he will be a Ranger this summer.
Parise, Nash, and Ryan will not be on NYR.
Another reality check. Staal will not be traded and Suter will not be a NYR.
Biggest offseason move will be a Gaustad like signing.
Aren't you the same guy that says Kreider will sign with Boston? Yeah, you have zero credibility.

That is the ONLY way it will happen.

With the new CBA we won't know what the cap space will be. If we can get Jagr for 3 Mil for a year it'd be worth it to help develop Kreider.
As much as I would absolutely kill, and I repeat kill, to have Bobby Ryan on this team I have to agree these names being thrown around aren't realistic.
We really don't need Suter, especially when we have to trade Staal to get him. And honestly I think Nashville goes pretty far this year and he will most likely resign.
Anaheim really isn't that far off from being a playoff team again, and while it would be wise to trade Ryan to replenish they're youth I think they'll just take their draft pick and go forward.
I don't see Parise leaving the Devils honestly, especially since he doesn't seem like e type to screw the Devils twice by leaving and then going to the Rangers. If he leaves I think he'll get out of the Atlantic.
Honestly I think the only feasible option is Rick Nash. That depends on if Howson is willing to budge this time. He's looking to deal him and the Rangers are the only team that he apparently wants to go to.
We need to use any and all cap space to get another impact forward. That will increase, as well as spread out, our scoring depth.
I don't get that feeling Parise will come here. The Rangers will make an offer but if the Devils make a reasonable offer I think he resigns.
He'll sign with Boston if he goes back to BC next year which is why if he does, I'd be more than willing to trade him.
I highly doubt that happens. Is that even possible? RFA's have to wait until they're 28 to sign with whatever team they want. How could a drafted player just wait it out and sign wherever he wants at 21? That doesn't seem fair. How would he not be forced to re-enter the draft if he refused to sign? If this is all possible then would the Rangers receive compensation somehow?

He'll be a UFA at the end of next season if he goes back to BC.

Isn't that the same situation happening to Schultz in Anahiem right now?
Now I'm not saying Kreider will leave for Boston hasn't these situations been happening a lot.
Exactly, and if he decides to go back to BC, I think the only option is to trade him because the risk is high that we do lose him to Boston.
Why exactly would a player that wants to go to Boston spend his own money to workout with the Rangers before the season just to get a chance to meet some of his future teammates?
Going further, why would he try to graduate early so he can go up to the NHL sooner rather than later?
Going even further, why would Kreider go to a Bruins game, the only one I think he's been at this year, that happens to have the Rangers in it, and while at that game spend time with his fellow Rangers?
Seems like a guy determined to be a Bruin if you ask me.
