Also, what's been wrong with Ebs the last few games? He has been nearly invisible out there.

It is pretty clear why that line is working right now. Whenever Hemsky is carrying the puck, Hartikianen drives the net. That means he is taking a defender with him which opens up a lot of room for Hemsky to weave around in the slot.

That has been our best line the last 3 games by far.

Hemsky was flying out there. Omark with a goal, 6 shots, and drew the only penalty against in 12 minutes of ice time. Glad to see Smid get a goal. The difference between his game now and 2 years ago are night and day.

Overall, the Oilers have points in 5 straight games, so all isn't bad, except for improving our position in the standings too much. I'll be glad when Renney is gone tho.

Really? I thought that Eberle created plenty of offense tonight.

I would say that maybe Renney is still concussed but he just makes odd/awful in-game decisions all the time. I am so sick of him. Hartikainen being chosen isn't completely awful, but Smyth? Are you ****** kidding me?

As opposed to Ebs shooting right at the pads, or Smyth hitting the post, or Hartikainen's...I don't even know what that was?

From what I understand Hartikainen has had some success in the shootout in the AHL so that pick can be justified.

But Smyth? I don't know what's up with that.

Join me in my land of pretend, where I pretend that Hemsky shot 3rd like he always does, and can therefore pretend that the Oilers won the game.

And now back to term papers.

Hartkianen and Hmesky work so well together they even make Gagner look good.

The only explanation is that Tambo told Renney to lose in shootouts by picking the Smyths of the world in tank efforts. That or Renney has lost his mind.

Hitting the inside of the post is terrible?

What are you trying to say here.

In anycase if anybody doesn't recognize it looked like the Oilers were concerned about getting 2pts in this one.

Not sure how to come to any other conclusion. Funny how people critique Harti and Smyth being out there but no mention that putting Omark out was strange as well.

Roli hunted that shot down and stared Omark off the ice. Kind of how conceit comes back to bite you.

Our problem in the shoot out wasn't the shooters it was our goalie.

I'm trying to say that it was neither better or worse than any of those tries. He tried a slap shot, which hit the net, and had as good a chance of going in as any of the others. The person I was responding to singled his out opposed to the others. That's all I'm saying...

I don't mind letting Hartikainen shoot. He had another good game, and it was a good chance to reward him with a chance at being the hero.

Smythe over RNH in the the shootout because he has played with Roli, is what Renney was thinking. Harti because the kid has been flying and confident.

Oilers...although it would be hilarious to see us pass a lot of these teams considering how we sucked for so much of this season I would ne upset if we didn't get our chance for Grigorenko.

That's unfortunate. It was 25 celsius today

There's not much else to talk about I guess. I mean we played well, and we did what were were supposed to. Even Eberle thinks it was enough for a win. Just move on to FLA; going to be a short PGT
