I wish they never changed the old horn. The new horn has grown on me, and I wouldn't wanna go back to the old horn ya know what I mean?

If they had never changed it that would have been cool. I wish they hadn't, but now that we've had this one since halfway through the first season at the Rock I wouldn't wanna go back to the old one.

Someone said the NJSEA owns the old horn at the Meadowlands, and that's why we can't bring it over. Don't know about that.

Remember that weak horn they had back when the Rock first opened for a few months? I first heard that thing go off during Gionta's goal, and was like seriously? I thought I was gonna hear the old one.

all I want for the remainder of the regular season is:

- Parise/Clarkson/Elias to reach 30 goals
- stay healthy
- get Zajac in a couple games

that is it.

Elias probably won't happen but I echo your sentiments on Parise and Clarktard. Especially Clarktard.

LOL at the Leafs.

What is with these teams? They should have never fired Ron Wilson. Not till the end of the season. If they did hire an INTERIM coach like one of the assistants. Hiring Carlyle just makes him look bad going into next season. I know they had that pipe dream of still being able to make the playoffs, but honestly.

Just like these jokers down here in Tampa Bay. They bring up this AHL goaltender, he plays an impressive game against Boston where he gives up one goal I think on 30+ shots. Then he loses two games, both blowout losses. They go in panic mode, and send him back to the minors, and they've signed some other guy who hasn't played in the NHL in 5 years since 07. He's been in Germany a while. Roloson played tonight though.

They have some pipe dream of making the playoffs still, and that Garon will be healthy come playoff time. They make fools out of themselves acknowledging they have a chance. They totally ignore the fact TB has crappy goaltending, and defense anyway. They think getting some random goaltender, Stamkos getting 50 goals, and beating the Oilers gives them a playoff chance.

Sometimes odd coaches are brought in not to strictly save the season at hand, but to save the next season.

I actually liked that one better then the current one too. The current one does nothing except drown out the crowd completely...and I honestly hate horns that do that...

That had to be the worst goal horn in NHL history.

Man that horn was even funnier than I remembered.

Didn't they have to install the one they had now, and that was just supposed to be some kind of temporary thing?

If memory serves me correct it might have been a shootout loss to Atlanta in February I believe of 08?

It was a really long shootout. Might have went 9 or 10 rounds. Kovalchuk scored for Atlanta I know that. Hossa too I believe. Holik was stopped in a chorus of boos. A couple of our guys scored. Maybe Elias or Gionta, or Langenbrunner. It was so long we had to use Karl Rachunek, and Arron Asham. Hedberg was the goalie on the other side for Atlanta. If this wasn't the first game it was close to it.

My man! Hating on Buffalo, and the Leafs too! I sympathize with you. Hating your hometown team. I hate mine too the Lightning. I think it's funny some of the fans think they can go to the playoffs.

Caps crew tonight made some remarks implying Carolina was still in it. They've gotta be kidding. Just trying to get some drama going.

LOL At the legendary team comment too! I cracked up over it.

Best Doc call of all-time IMO. Emotion, and shows he's definitely a fan of the team.

I've always wanted to know. What's it like living in Toronto, and HATING the Leafs?

In the Tampa/St Pete if you hate the Lightning out on the street not many people care. 20 year old team, Florida is 115 degrees, not the strongest hockey following, but somehow they always manage a sell out!

well the people i know that watch the leafs only a few of them actually follow the team. usually i find typical fans with little knowledge in the game, but ill tell you,,, i mock and talk **** to anyone with their logo. its hard not to when you see it daily.

also, i don't hate the leafs so much as i laugh at them. its pure drama AND comedy at the same time.

.....and im loaded. woooo.

Love how completely confident they were in their breakout that Marty took off with zero hesitation with the puck still behind our own goal line.

That game from that clip I remember it. Elias not only scored to tie the game, he scored to win it in OT. He also I believe scored the 1st goal for us that night. It was a hat trick.

I was just thinking this season reminds me a lot of Sutter's first season. It's pretty reminiscent, and if you look where we were after 74 games in 2008 we were at 91 points. Just the whole season is reminiscent, and has followed around the same pace. We had a big skid at the end of March that season. We didn't win as many shootouts that year, and Marty wasn't as good in the shootout. We didn't have that success. Not that we sucked, but we didn't win as many as we're winning now. I also remember a lot of games where they didn't show up too. We also only beat the Rangers 1 out of 7 or 8 times that year. Whereas we won 3 of 6 this year.

Others have said this season reminds them of the 99/00 season.

Except that 07/08 team couldn't score a goal if they're life depended on it.
